Mind transformed into Function of the Intellect

The ability to think correctly has to be developed through the "earthly" affairs. Then it can be transformed into a function of the buddhi. For this purpose, the "tentacles" of the consciousness (indriyas) should be redirected from the objects of the material world, even the best ones, toward the Divine Consciousness.
The thinking of such progressively developing people in all their affairs rises to a fundamentally different level, because at this stage they, step by step, begin to learn to see "earthly" problems as God sees them. The egocentrism of such a person gets gradually substituted with Godcentrism.

Sathya Sai Baba Teaching

That is important to be understood right. The mind is constantly moving outward in direction of sense-objects and the desire involved with that merging with the object, therefore, Baba said in my first interview, just think about God.
It means our mind if we keep it occupied with thinking about God it cannot go in direction of worldly objects.
If we let the mind move in direction of consciousness and not objects, our thinking rises to a different level and we begin to see the world in the light of the higher self or God, it gets centered in that divine light.

How can one get rid of the vicious work of the mind, which impedes further advancement? — Very simply: do not try to "muffle" it, but just think about God! The nature of the mind is such that it is necessary for it to be preoccupied with something, so let it be preoccupied with God! And when it is preoccupied with God, it stops.
Baba said, 'just think about God'. At that time it was kind of difficult for me to understand it. But in thinking about his teaching and writing about it and relating his wisdom to the teaching of my own life, I am also keeping the mind busy. It grows into a different realm and begins to see things differently. It is certainly what happens in this blog in constantly trying to relate Baba's thought for the day and the wisdom with my life in my words and deeds.
We get aware of the message and the conflict if the job doesn't go in the same direction. It keeps the mind occupied and I am glad when I find the answer.
It was kind of like with TM, we said just meditate and from all directions came to the same conclusion and the mind stopped to think and merged like that with the intellect only it was just going on and on and it didn't merge in the ocean of light of divinity.

If you are not able yet to do this, then occupy it with repetition of the name of God or with another useful activity.

That is meditation and after that interview it is what I did, I tried to constantly remember the mantra, because I wanted to keep the focus on divinity.
But we also can do it with a useful activity and that was the purpose of the TM-teacher to make the job a useful level for all. That is why I did it, because it seemed to me quite useful, but as it didn't go into the light, it was not possible to go on. Today the study circle is on that level and useful and writing keeps the mind focused.
The study circle is only once a month and writing depends to the mind, it is constantly keeping me busy.

The uncontrolled mind is like a snake. It has two tendencies: it moves not straight and captures all things which it sees. But it should be forced to move straight to God, turned directly toward Him.

That part we know as ceiling of desires goes in that direction to Keep the focus on divinity. If we are constantly focused and it is directed into the highest first, it is not distracted by the things it sees.

When the thinking of a progressing person is performed not by the mind but by the buddhi, then the buddhi submerges into God in order to become Him.

That makes us aware of the process behind all that sadhana and spiritual practice and what is happening with a focused mind. The mind turns into buddhy (intellect), it is about the discrimination between real and unreal, between relative and absolute, between good and bad, it moves from duality to qualified non dualism and becomes him in total non-dualism.
It feels like the same principle if we go the northern or southern path as mentioned in the Bhagavadgita, the path of light or darkness, but one is focused on the light and divinity only and the other is just going on and on in making good Karma, performing good actions, therefrom, mother nature can benefit and we believe it will give us a good birth in next life. Only if it means harm for the others and the individual, it turns into the opposite.
In that case, where is the repentance gone?
If we are in that state of mind and we are wrongly thinking that everything is right and that we know everything..., and that we are invincible and nothing can happen to us, we get blinded and do not see the harm caused to others, thinking it is only good turns into delusion? If is not real anymore, it turns into Tamas and illusion and we do not even get aware of it, fooling our own selves.
