Vision of God and not the Sight of Death

These days, people are content to visualize and experience evanescent worldly joys. People have no rest. Spending the nights in sleep and days in eating and drinking, they grow and grow, until, in old age, death pursues them. Then, they can’t decide where to go or what to do; all senses have weakened. No one and nothing can rescue them, so they end as obedient meat in the jaws of death! How sad it is that this human life, precious as an invaluable diamond that can’t be priced at all, has been cheapened to the standard of a worn-out worthless coin! There is no use repenting later without meditating on God or practicing some spiritual discipline to realize Him now. It is the right of the aspirant (sadhaka) to have the vision of God and not the sight of death (Yama-darshan)!
Baba (thought for the day)

After the four stages and reflecting on it and the surprise when we find when something in our life comes-up what we had forgotten or we were not yet aware about it and in a totally unexpected moment.
In the dream it was about a caveman and it is a picture like a symbole for the mind to see a situation or a mind which is not flexible. But there was not only the cave, but ice and that was before in a dream. It had to do with ice and the last insight before we left long ago, that ice was now different, it just made something clear what had not been clear before. Inner images are like a mood we get by watching.
And Baba talks about that difference between the soul and the body, if we are in the body it will be Yama-Darshan and if we know that we are actually the soul it will be only divinty.
It was ice and it felt kind of scary that it looked like that. We just think loud and try to get the meaning of it. But it was nevertheless strange to get aware of ice.
If it is present now, it just makes that association in the mind between that and something else, it is reflecting what it was and it was insight and a cave only not yet mud, but only ice. Later it was a mud hole and if we translate that it was like clear as mud ... it tells us that there was nothing clear actually and above all nothing was understood, nothing at all.

The cave has another meaning, only the ice is no more water, it is frozen and it doesn't seem very normal. The mind is related to water the tendency is going down into the sensece, but it is just about understanding the nature of things, we get a feeling for it and it gives us an insight why it is like that.
It didn't feel very natural, no good or healthy state of mind or probably no feelings, we would think there was no exchange, no real relationship.
We don't understand the character of it, just the image and it can give us a feeling for it.
The nature of water is flowing down into the senses and it therefore, didn't go upwards even if we meditated, it went into the senses and downward and it was even frozen to ice. In thinking it over we get a feeling for it. And as he said in the inner view that he took only advantage, seems to match the caveman and the idea behind that the mind is somehow not felxible enough to and not open enough to change.
Whatever the message, it has to get there and if someone is in that situation of a caveman it is probably not going in and also nothing is going out and that explains why it didn't work. That is how we think it over and get a feeling for it.
It was about the ‘caveman’, and it is clear that it is self-desturction to be fixed in the mind in such a way that it is a caveman, there is no exchange.
The caveman is an image which helps to understand that state of mind.

As the caveman is only living in a cave it can turn into explosion and probably it has nothing to do with non-violence it seems he is not able to absorb anything and that is a kind of scary view of a state of mind. And it felt like that, we had to fit in the picture of his cave and if we didn't, he forced us into it.
When we were like he thought we should be, it was no problem and if we didn't fit in, he used force to get us into that and it had nothing to do with love, but with his idea of getting from the Lord what he needed to live in his cave. We should have been also cave people to match his strange state of mind.
Baba was seen as the giver and Baba arranged it for him and he had no means of even getting the idea of love. It was kind of a strange experience and also not a great way of seeing it.
It felt alarming, we had the attitude to see good, do good, be good and that was in such a situation only for him a means that he could take advantage of it.
The expression 'caveman' gives a feeling for it and it as way to see it, what is happening with such a mind, it means nothing is going in and nothing is coming out, focused only on that, he doesn't get it and he doesn't hear what Baba is telling, the mind is a state where it is not possible to listen.
That experience of a closed mind we had no notion of it before, it is like a fozen pattern of habits, in which the mind is constantly moving and not able to get out of it, he is developing strange attitudes and strange habits as well, that is the caveman and it probably gets worse as he gets older.
It was a picture of ruin and destruction. It felt that strange, but maybe we only go the message that way that it was not possible to make the difference between soul and body if we are in a cave. And it has to do only with the body what feels negative and too often beyond measures and it makes us aware of something and that we should not get into it if we want to realize the level of the soul and that is the difference he is talking about it, we want a vision of God and with a caveman it is likely that the vision of God will never be there.
It is all about getting the right vision and we have to go beyond the obstacles in the mind to get there.
it was enough scary to not make us go for it and there had been too much ice, but after we left I forgot about it and we were glad we were flying to Baba and that he called us and we didn't go back, because self-desturction means we cannot get a vision of God, because there is a wrong focus it is only gross and not a subtle experience and it takes alarming forms in the insight.
But at that time we were not aware of the caveman and the mind state of a caveman, we only were aware of it that we were called to Baba and that is how we got out of it and we knew or it felt like we got out of it.
Afterwards we got the answer that he takes the path of least effort and that is only when we had to face the reality that he didn't care about insights and about Baba dreams and he didn't follow it and it was therefore also not possible for us to follow it.
It took years before it was done and we signed the agreement in Baba's presence and some thought we would even get together again, it was very strange to make that experience of the perfect 'harmony' in Baba's presence and it was somehow like impossible to imagine that it was not like that. It felt good and right and that is how we went for it before, but it was not like that.
In the ashram it looked like everything fine, but behind it was not true and there was that reality of the cave in the mind and no way out, it was really impossible to live in that, it also reflected as vampire, what means someone who is living from the energy of others and there was a long nose and Baba was in the dream and had two faces, that was that strange that first I felt unable to think it over.
But the long nose had to do with falshood and fooling people into something which was no and as it was based on truth, it was exactly the opposite of true.
It was about 'pure love', but somehow it was not understood, we heard only love, but we didn't know how to get to 'pure love'.
But if we listen to Baba he is telling us if we want to make the experience of pure love, we have to understand peace and we have to accept truth and if we accept truth, we have to accept right action and only if we have those three things, right action and truth and peace, we will be able to make the experience of pure love.
It is about that experience and 'pure love' and if there is no truth, but it is falsehood, it cannot lead to right action as well and if there is non of it, it is impossible to make the experience of 'pure love'.
As soon as we had left it was gone, nothing made sense anymore and it was not clear how it should go on. As there was the ice in the insight present the caveman was actually the evil doer.
So the cave was the expression of no change in the mind, and there was that danger of and explosion if we didn't fit in the cave and we had to adapt to his ideas about how it should be, it was real strange.
So that is the feeling we get for that state of mind. We had a great evening last night and therefore, it also felt like Darshan actually and it is all together.
Baba’s words are bringing it up, but in his words is the difference between soul and no soul, between knowing who we are and not knowing who we are and we have to understand it right.

After that caveman dream, it felt like Baba and the caveman was gone, wherever he went, but it didn't matter anymore, it is just a sign that there is no development possible on that mind level and in that mind state, but feeling of his presence was great and we are glad to forget whatever that was with the caveman.
If we get the image and the memory of the ice, we know the obstacle is such that we cannot realize the self in that cave, we have to get out of it to be able to realize it.

These days, people are content to visualize and experience evanescent worldly joys.
People have no rest.

That is seems to lead into that cave reality of the mind and it is restless, but looking for it on the wrong place, so it was not at all peaceful to live with a caveman and it is not a happy state of mind, it is restless, but constantly finding faults with others as affliction of the mind, because the others has to fit in his cave. If we meditate we should experience more rest and that restlessness of the mind is not the same as the search for self-knowledge.

Spending the nights in sleep and days in eating and drinking, they grow and grow, until, in old age, death pursues them. Then, they can’t decide where to go or what to do; all senses have weakened. No one and nothing can rescue them, so they end as obedient meat in the jaws of death!

Do you like that picture, as he calls it the jaws of death; here the Lord of death looks like a shark. The image of the ‘caveman’ is somehow worse. The shark is there when we are not aware of it, but the caveman has bad intentions, because we have to fit in and he is building up an ego and things in an absurd or spiritually perverted way that the Lord gives it to him so that it fits in his cave, he doesn't gets out of his mind cave.

It is not exactly the picture of a nice and good man thinking over wisdom.
The vampire doesn’t stop and goes on feeding from the energy of others and it is not such a great insight, it shows us that such obstacles are there that we have to get out of it or that we are in bad company.
The ice in the dream was there just before we left and I had not been aware that it was an insight, I just looked at it as a dream. Baba said that he is the insight and the following step, if he is that alarming in the insight there are obstacles we have to get aware off or we have to change the course because the soul cannot expand consciousness in a cave.

In Baba’s presence we didn't think about it and I even forgot it and to get aware that it was a cave is something strange, but it explains that state of mind and as we had to face it and fight to the end, we have to understand it right.
It was a warning, as we were not aware of the caveman, I always thought that it was by his presence possible to overcome the obstacles in the mind, but that caveman takes the illusion away, it was definitely not possible.
He is telling us also to go on no matter what obstacles are there to get the vision of the divine and to know the difference between the divine and the Lord of death.
We have to understand that if we are in the body and the mind, there cannot be any realiy of the soul during the last moment, because it is not realized.
Another person is a caveman, living all by himself, but when we met he was that different and openminded and when we were here and not in Baba's presence, he was a different person, the society and what others think had him in the grip and that is the mind and he was very different and what others think was no issue in Prasanthi with Baba. It was incredible how different he was here and how he had felt before and he was like another person.
Whatever that is, but we should not go along with it, probably bad company.
Nobody will envy that state of mind.
It is about obstacles and getting a feeling for it and knowing from the inside why we don't go in that direction, if it would have been easier I also  would have taken the path of least effort as it seems.
He doesn’t get out of his cave, the mind is a cave and there is the tendency of ice and no Baba in it, he seems just a bit harmonizing, but there is not the same effect as he has on others. It is like we are a cow to milk, we have something that arranges him, because there is something he would like to get, that is probably why it said, we go to the country of the beautiful cows. That are all images and we get a feeling for it if we think it over and see it in our own life.

The situation reminded us at the movie about Tina Turner’s life story, ‘What has love got to do with it?’
At the end she had a stage performance and just before she went on stage her former husband who was violent and had hit her often, came in with a gun and she said to him, ‘what are you going to do, shoot me? Go ahead, shoot me, but the people came to see me…’
That is how it feels. He also felt like a caveman, he didn't get out of his dillema anymore until it killed him, there was no transformation of the mind.
It was about spirituality and somehow it seems for him as clear as mud, that is the cave man he doesn't understand it.
But he got worse, only we didn’t fight back, it was always clear that, ‘Baba will find a way …’ because he is not mud.
As soon as we were in the ashram things changed, but it took seven years to make it clear and done, what can we expect with a caveman?
Baba said in the insight, 'you didn’t listen, you have to get a divorce’, but I thought I did my best to listen, I had to follow the inner master and as he said in an interview follow the master, fight to the end and finish the game.
What had it to do with listening, only now it does make sense, we learnt how to listen and write it down and think it over.
The caveman …, that is another reality, and obstacle which is seen as cave and to the daughter he said, that he is destroying himself and that he doesn't know what he is doing and it was not possible to go back but he always thought we should go back anyhow.
The obstacles were too big.
To get aware of it seems more difficult than we think.
In Baba's presence we were okay again. And Baba said to him in the dream, 'you lived a dream, that is your problem not mine’. It was in that cave in a state of mind like on a different place, not really present, we talked about Baba to keep the focus, but just to get aware of that cave reality.
It felt like a different world and as I was constantly talking about Baba and spirituality to keep it in focus and when he said that I had to go and make peace with Baba, that dream he didn't ignore because it arranged him and he could take advantage of it.
But there was no understanding about peace and it was of no use whatsoever.
There was no feeling about truth, peace, right action, love and Sadhana and human values and Sai Baba's message, but the caveman is kind or explaining it, because nothing goes in and nothing comes out. He lived a dream and there were the obstacles like it was mirrored in the vampire and the long nose demon, we meditated, he said he did and that made no sense to me, but he didn't do it. I never understood why he said that.
That is how we got aware of the battle field and how we realize that the world is the scriptures as he said not long ago and we had to face the enemy and we were on the path to safety, it felt like a war situation and it seems like that we begin to understand why there was a battlefield in the Bhagavad-Gita.
It was that alarming and at the same time too dangerous to talk about it, it was no more about friend or even less husband, only life broke in pieces and we had to face ruin it means it is the battlefield, if we get in a war we have to get out of it otherwise, we will be ruined. He was at the side of the enemy.
We had to be careful about every word in that situation to be able to make a right decision and that is why I had stopped talking to him, he didn’t notice it, he was too busy taking advantage of making himself feel better in arguing and finding faults.
It was really a strange situation and he noticed it only when we were in the ashram and I didn't call him, but it began long time before and he was not aware of it.
I couldn't talk anymore after the bad insights and afterwards I wrote him during the time until he signed that divorce agreement and it was done, it was Baba's presence and due to his influence as he felt like the enemy, he would never have done it. The image of the caveman explains a lot.
Sometimes it felt like impossible that it had turned into something like that, but also not when we listen to him and he is telling us that the world is the scriputres and that we have to go on no matter what obstacles are there, that were the obstacles on the mind level that big, that we couldn't go on and we had to change.

Spending the nights in sleep and days in eating and drinking, they grow and grow, until, in old age, death pursues them. Then, they can’t decide where to go or what to do; all senses have weakened. No one and nothing can rescue them, so they end as obedient meat in the jaws of death!

That will end up in the jaws of death, it would need more than a miracle to change such a state of mind, the cave is like a trap and that is done, too too old for big changes, probably not in that life. The cave is an image of being stubborn and inflexible and a strange old guy brooding in his cave about we don't know what not getting out of the mind anymore. It seems to happen if we don't talk to others anymore or we talk only with some people.

Too much in a cave of mind to listen to his words, it is not getting closer to his mind and understanding.
We should be meditating on God and practice some spiritual discipline like mediation. We have to do it now and realize him now and that is important, because we should not wait for tomorrow, tomorrow is the mind.
We have to understand it and Baba said it all along, but not all at the same time and everybody has to realize it.
It is the right of the aspirant to have the vision of God, but we have to first be an aspirant and not a caveman.
A caveman doesn’t listen and cannot absorb what Baba is telling, he is closed in the mind and it is a cave, he is alone. He would have to do it now and be that scared of being a caveman that he would not stop anymore, but go on doing it tomorrow and after tomorrow and every day from now. It only can be done if we do it now, otherwise, whatever cave reality is our mind in, it will be our prison. It is a mind prison.
If I would be a man, but also women can get strange in a different way, it is mostly men who seem to become cavemen and in a certain age, I would get above all scared about that ‘mind-state’ what makes us call them ‘cavemen’.
If we live in a cave, we maybe think we are aspirants, but we are not.

A sadhaka is looking for self-knowledge, he is searching for self-knowledge that is a sadhaka and that is why he gets the vision of God, but a caveman will land in the jaws of death and have Yama Darshan. That is what Baba is telling us here.
Baba will not be there and hold hand with a caveman, he will tell as he did already, ‘you lived a dream, that is your problem and not mine’, Baba is not in it.
Yama is not light, Yama is the death of the body and darkness and that Darshan is not a pleasant one, no pleasure for the mind, it is in the insight as darkness as different from light and if we get the vision of God it is light and not dark, it is daytime and sunshine and not night and darkness.
What is sad is that a caveman is not able to get the meaning of these words about a Yama Darshan, if we accept the truth we have to change it. But he doesn’t get it what Baba is telling us here and why not, he is in his cave, nothing is coming in as he is living his own mind only.
It feels like too far gone in that cave only, the mind pattern has turned into a cave and he is in those patterns, no way getting out of it and now even with Baba, he just takes advantage of it, whatever arranges him.

We always look for the good in someone …, but here it is only energy waste, because of the vampire. There is nothing good in such a state of mind, he seems to enjoys to do the opposite of what Baba is telling or teaching and he is not aware of it.
If we try to see the good in it, he will just find a way again to take advantage of it.
