Truth and the World

Discarding the path and wasting one’s life is an insult to the very name of the species! Instead of getting enslaved to the evanescent and the false, and wasting precious time in their pursuit, dedicate every minute to discovering truth and contemplating on the everlasting, ever-true Lord. Such dedication is the real function of the soul. On the other hand, spending time in illusory appetites is the drag of the world. One shouldn’t fall victim to the poisonous attractions of worldly luxuries or the wiles of seductive beauty. One day, all these fascinating scenes will vanish as a story unfolded in dream! The characteristic of a spiritual aspirant is the attainment of truth, not the search of the unreal in this evanescent world. In this false world, there can be no true living (sathya-achara). There can be only false living (mithya-achara). True living consists in the realization of the Lord. This must be borne in mind by everyone every moment of their life.
Baba (thought for the day)

Swami’s teaching and our world are not two different things, the difference is only to us and if we focus on real values or on that which is not real.
If we focus on the evanescent and the false and we waste precious time in that pursuit, we forget the truth. If we are focused on truth, the world is still happening, only our focus is slightly different.
We don’t focus on the values which are not real and just passing by and there is no lasting reality in it, we focus on that what is real, ever-true and never changing.
And does that exist in a relative world in which nothing seems to have lasting value?

Such dedication is the real function of the soul.

If we watch and observe, we get in touch with the soul and our individual soul is not of the nature of change and darkness and the evanescent and false, it is of the nature of the light and it is permanent and ever-lasting.

Discarding the path and wasting one’s life is an insult to the very name of the species! Instead of getting enslaved to the evanescent and the false, and wasting precious time in their pursuit, dedicate every minute to discovering truth and contemplating on the everlasting, ever-true Lord.

If we look at Greece today and we know they have a deadline and we don’t know really what is going to happen and we don’t know how the world looks tomorrow and if it is still the same as we know it today. Change is part of it and adapting and accepting that change is another part of it and being able to go with it again a different matter. When we began to meditate it said if we meditate regularly we are able to develop more of the mental potential and we are able to go with the fast changes and the progress in the world. We live in that world and it is happening and we have little to no influence on it.
How do we dedicate every minute on discovering truth and contemplation on the everlasting, ever true Lord?

We do it if we meditate, we do it if we contemplate and think over his words.
What I find sometime astonishing that some people I know don’t make a difference between imagination and reality.

On the other hand, spending time in illusory appetites is the drag of the world. One shouldn’t fall victim to the poisonous attractions of worldly luxuries or the wiles of seductive beauty.

We are not victims of the worldly luxuries if we meditate, the focus in on the higher self during meditation. As long as our focus is on the higher self, the part in us that is not changing, we are part of the world, but we are not in the world.

The Lord is the same as our higher self. The question is just how to realize it and we know we cannot reach our higher self in the mind, but in going beyond the mind. We have to transcend our thought activity and our ‘you and I’ and the identification with the body being ‘we’ first and with the ‘we and he is I’ we get to the realization that we are not different from the Lord.
We are part of it. He said that he is the man coming in our dreams to awake us, but when he is that man in our dream and he tells, ‘I am the One’ in the dream, that is a different level of consciousness and as Baba said, we know four different levels, waking, dream and sleep stage and the fourth is Turya, the non-changing level of Samadhi. The waking stage we know, it is all what happens on the world level in our body and mind and we see it as real and the dream stage we think we know, but we have to realize that we actually don’t know it.
But he knows it as he explained not long ago the waking stage and the dream stage merge and if they merge it is omniscience and divine. In the deep sleep we are not yet permanent, it is just temporary merging with God, only when we reach Turya, the never changing reality of the divine it doesn’t change anymore and it is always present and ever-true.
If we are focused on our higher self we also get aware that it is always the same, the body changes, the world changes, our inner higher self is not affected by it and therefore, it is beyond the body and the mind.
It doesn’t mean if we think about the world and the changes in the world, that we are not also aware that we are in the core of our own self a non-changing eternal part of the higher being.
It is not possible to separate the Lord from the its manifestation and body, the world, it is only the mind who is possible to see a difference where no difference is.
Only the focus is different.

One day, all these fascinating scenes will vanish as a story unfolded in dream! The characteristic of a spiritual aspirant is the attainment of truth, not the search of the unreal in this evanescent world.

We can meditate on our own reality and who I am and think about the world anyhow. It doesn’t mean that we are identified with the unreal just because we are interested in the business of the world. If Baba’s words are wrong understood, we see it in black and white, the world is false, it cannot be true, and divinity is right and true.

In this false world, there can be no true living (sathya-achara). There can be only false living (mithya-achara).

What is the realization of the Lord? How do we think and contemplate always about the Lord? That is how we think over his words, he is the word. If we meditate and focus on our higher self and the higher self is beyond the body and beyond the mind, we are focused on him only and if we listen to his words and think it over, as he is the man coming in our dreams to awake us, one day in our dream he tells, ‘I am the One’ and as it is dream stage, it is not like our normal experience in the waking stage, we don’t think about and reflect on what he said and if yes or no, that is happening in the mind, not so in the dream stage. If he is telling us in the dream stage, ‘I am the One’, we feel and we don’t think that we are part of the One and that same one is in him and that same one is in me and in you and in everybody, there is no difference and the same it is with the insight, ‘I am I’, if that is seen in the dream stage, there is no mind and no intellect and no difference, there is just a feeling and that feeling knows, it is the same as my ‘I’, there is no difference between his ‘I’ and my ‘I’ and it is again getting to the same conclusion, if that is true for me, it is true for all.

On the world level no matter what our job, it doesn’t mean we are not focused at the same time on our higher self and the truth in it and watching the reality of it, it doesn’t mean we are focused on the world, just because we think about the world. We can very well follow the world and what is happening in the world and at the same time be focused on truth.

Actually, I think that only someone who is focused on truth can see the world truly, if we focused on the world itself and not truth, we are not able to see it really as it is, because the mind is in illusion.

True living consists in the realization of the Lord. This must be borne in mind by everyone every moment of their life.
