Learn How to Drive; Get the Battery Recharged

No one is outside the Love of the Lord. The eighteen-year old boy is asked by the mother to go into the kitchen, take a plate and serve himself rice and curry and eat. The mother is not callous or unkind; she knows the capacity of the boy and treats him as he ought to be treated. For another son she accompanies to the kitchen, sits by his side and serves food to him. But she seats the third son on her lap and feeds with many a song in order to make the process pleasant for the child. Do not think that the mother is partial; no, she is only making use of her knowledge of the capacity of her children to make them progress. That is the nature of maternal love.

Here Swami is talking about maternal love. And I am writing to keep my spirits up and it keeps me busy as there is nothing else to do and if I would just sit here waiting I would get tired. I usually think over Baba's thought for the day as and that keeps me going and awake.
That thought for the day about mothering is not really much to tell, it means the mother knows best and divinity is like a mother.
Mothering teaches us to listen and to be patient.
The words yesterday were different. When I began to write and it was about recharging the battery of the car, I began to get a feeling about it. If we don't use the car, it will not charge itself.
With my ex we didn't use the car as it seems and even if I was still meditating twice a day and I was listening to spiritual uplifting tapes constantly, it seems the car was not used and therefore, the battery didn't recharge itself. How do we have to use the car and drive it so that the battery gets recharged?
As you said, we can only deal with the hand we are dealt with, if we use that example here and know that the car had to drive to get the battery recharged, we can see it in a different manner. Some years ago we went to Swami and came back with the battery recharged and it is like that, we have actually no choice but to drive that car, otherwise the battery will not be recharged.

Never yield to indolence or despair. Suffer loss and grief gladly, for they help to toughen your personality. The diamond is found amidst rocks; you will have to blast through the vein to get gold. Follow the strict regimen that the doctor enforces in order to make the medicine yield the best result.

If we don't use it or we have more than one car and we don't drive the right car, what is possible if we have more cars than one and we let the spiritual one unused in the garage, of course, the battery cannot be recharged.
How can you recharge the battery?

The battery of your 'car' is charged when you come to Puttaparthi or when you go to some other holy place. Or at least that should be the aim of the pilgrimage.

The main issue is not the petty quarreling going on, not the animosity we find sometimes, but the main issue is to recharge the battery and in my understanding and out of my sight, that is just a detail when we have all kinds of reasons why we don't go for it. It is not in focus or not the problem, it is just an obstacles, but when it does keep us from driving that car and recharging the battery, it gets to a huge obstacle.
Not the others matter, but that we recharge the battery of our car and the others are helpful to get there. Only that matters, we do it in that sense for and with the others, but for our own self and not for the others.
That alone is important and nothing else and if we need to talk for that reason to the others, we should find a way to do it. It is not important enough to not talk or to keep silent if it builds up an obstacle in the mind. What matters is driving the car to recharge the battery.
That is why Baba is telling us first use discrimination and second we should see it in our own life and third we have to go on no matter what obstacles are there.
We could tell that our stay with Swami was an effort to recharge the battery and when coming home, we went back to him as soon as possible again, but I always felt disturbed by it that it was not possible to recharge it here, whatever the reason, it didn't feel good.
But coming back here, everything was gone, my life had evaporated in thin air and I didn't know what to do about it and also I didn't know why.
It had something to do with the leader of the TM movement and no doubt he will get the Karma for it, he also didn't listen to the master, he did his own thing and that didn't work, it was cut off, but as we know in the meantime there are others who did TM in much worse situations and we are actually glad we war out of it. It seems some even get totally lost, in that sense we are lucky that Baba got us out of it, but if we don't listen to him, what can he do?
What is our main focus with Swami, now it is about recharging the battery of the car, isn't it?

Some years ago we went to see him and came back and had that battery recharged and it lasted for a while and we went back to him again. It was certainly easier like that, we just took the airplane and were back with him?
Can you imagine that it could feel in your present life if you manage to recharge the battery of your car, that it could feel exactly the same as it did when you went to him and you were sitting there waiting for Swami?
There were lots of devotees sitting and waiting, all were waiting, he was always talking with someone, he was constantly working, only during Darshan it was silence, but not even that, he also spoke to some during Darshan and if there were speeches Baba talked to all of the devotees present.
I was there when we went in 96 in Spring when Baba was holding every day in Prasanthi a lecture and that for about fourteen days, every day.
If we get to wrong conclusions and project it on Swami, we should know that it is not possible to recharge the battery of the car.
Swami is about truth; the first thing we have to be sure about it is that it is true and not untrue.
Love is his form that means love – silence – okay and truth is his breath and truth is a principle and the 'I am that' and even if it is in the inner view or the man in our dream, it has nothing to do with silence, but self-enquiry. Love is my form in silence – okay, that is the body and waking stage. Truth is my breath – self-enquiry – and that is the dream stage. Bliss is my food – silence and that is the Turiya stage. Baba tells us that in the scriptures is mentioned that we have four stages and that is waking -, dream -, sleep - and Turiya stage. On our way to self-realization we have to go through all those stages.

Charge the battery of your spiritual effort and then, after you return home, do not keep the car idle. If you do, the battery will run down; take the car around and keep it going; then the battery will charge itself.

Do we continue being in holy company? How can we keep holy company if we avoid it? If we do not continue the holy company, if we do not keep on with a good attitude, if we are not singing Bhajans and as much as I know we don't keep some don't keep up with a good attitude and are not singing Bhajans and if we are not remembering God's name and not even into meditation, we get the answer from Baba, all this charging will turn into waste.

So also, if you do not continue the holy company, the good attitude, bhajans, and remembering God's Name as part of your life, all this charging will turn into a waste.

All the time spent with Baba all that energy we got and the wisdom, it will turn into waste.
It has something to do with right focus and not listening to Baba's words, not caring about his teaching and truth and the principle of truth and Dharma, right action. It feels more like not only ignoring everything Baba said and why he was here to reestablish Dharma, but we ignore everything else as well.
Not even that much is present. How will we be able to recharge our battery? Not even a miracle will be able to do that.
Our ego and mind stands in front of it and we say no.

So also, if you do not continue the holy company, the good attitude, bhajans, and remembering God's Name as part of your life, all this charging will turn into a waste.

What did happen to you that you turned from a serious devotee as I had seen you into someone who seems not to care at all?
You let me write and it is all Baba given and nothing coming back probably you are thinking that all are just there to serve you, but from your side there is no need to give any service back to anyone. That is not how you will be able to recharge the battery of your car.

My ex tells today that when he is in pension he will go and live in the ashram. We will see for how long and if ever it will happen? He doesn't know how to drive that car at all. He has no knowledge of how the battery will be recharged, as he took only advantage of it, he thinks he can still go there and go on taking advantage of it. We will see how long that will last.
How do you plan to recharge the spiritual battery of your car?
There is a way to do it and if we don't know how we have to learn driving.
If we know how, we get the experience of the omnipresence of the divine in the now and the same and nothing lost whatever that was in the past with Baba.

So also, if you do not continue the holy company, the good attitude, bhajans, and remembering God's Name as part of your life, all this charging will turn into a waste.

What are we doing about the that mentioned above here by Baba to make sure that all that charging before with Baba is not turning into waste?
