True Friends are Uplifting Life

True friends are those who help in uplifting your life by cleansing your ideals and emotions. Those who drag you into pomp, pedantry, paltry entertainment and petty pranks are enemies, not friends. True friends cannot be won by social status, external scintillation or verbal assertions. A friendship knit by monetary bonds is disrupted as soon as you ask the loan to be repaid. So, when you oblige your friend with a loan, the friendship too is broken at that very moment. How can friendship be cemented by words or by coins? The feeling of friendship must activate every nerve, permeate every blood-cell, and purify every emotional wave; it has no place for the slightest trace of egotism. The companionship which seeks to exploit or fleece for personal benefit cannot be elevated into the noble quality of friendship. Perhaps, the only friend who can pass this rigorous test, is God.

That is the answer to why the study circle is actually uplifting life and cleaning our ideals and emotions. We use his words and we share it together and we don't interrupt the other, we just listen and if we do it right and if we go deep into the meaning of his words, we even get the right answer.
By getting the right answer and insights our ideals are cleansed and our emotions as well, it all happens unaware only in doing it and as long as we don't listen we will not get it, because he is telling it in such a way that we cannot understand it without thinking it over.
If we meditate and we take a mantra and repeat it in our thoughts, we know we purify the mind and we hope that the emotions are purified as well and if we listen to his words and we think it over, what happens, our ideals get cleansed.

True friends are those who help in uplifting your life by cleansing your ideals and emotions.

At night in the dream stage were two wild cats and we cannot tell a wild animal what to do and it will not listen, if we try we will be ignored or moved out of the way.
The Maharishi said in the dream not so long ago, we sat in the mountains outdoors in a coffee shop and we ate Tuna and he said, 'funny that we eat meat to just not be different from others'. That is the feeling and the picture of it and how powerful that inner feeling of not wanting to be different from the others really is.

The wildcat was once present during waiting in a Darshan, sitting there waiting in the air was that wild cat behind my mind's eyes pacing back and forth in a cage, always back and forth, back and forth, just waiting for a door to open to get out of it.

I want the second time for Gurupurnima and it was in 86 and I came back in March 87 and in that time were just waiting for answers.
I had troubles sitting there and waiting, but I had no other choice and I had no idea of how much more time we would have to wait for those answers. He said in my first interview that it was very difficult to understand and in the meantime I know how difficult actually.
Back here it was the same, it was all gone what had been my life before. I had been with TM, but what felt that good at the beginning had turned into something else.
I had lived in the TM-center and worked for the TM-movement and was mostly in touch with the national leader and with him in no time everything turned around and nothing made sense anymore.
I noticed that it should be friendship and that yogis are our friends, because the all felt like enemies and it had turned into the opposite.
It was a traumatising experience and even more so because it was not possible to get any answer why it was like that, they were all puppets on a string and the hand was not there which should be there holding them, so there was no way they could see it what had happened, it means nobody was at my side and I found myself lost in a spiritual nowhere land and the only person that was real in that was actually Baba and now he said, very difficult to understand and I had not idea why and how it turned into the opposite, 'enemies' instead of 'friends'.
When I came back it was all gone and instead of friendship, they felt all like enemies and I had to avoid them, it had turned into the opposite and nobody knew why and nobody saw it as they were only puppets on a string, they had learnt everything by heart, they went on like nothing had happened and I had just to get out of it, but it was probably also the fastest way getting out of it and I knew already that it was not the right path, but that didn't help to understand what had happened.

During the study circle or with the study circle I noticed the same experience I had before as meditation teacher and here he is telling us why.
We use Baba's words and go deep into the meaning of it and that is the uplifting part of it and our life by cleansing our ideals and we do it in the circle and it is cleaning our emotions.
It is uplifting our life and our emotions and it is the same effect in his words and therefore, it is the same type of experience. So we find again what we actually thought was lost. That is telling us also why yogis are our friends.

The companionship which seeks to exploit or fleece for personal benefit cannot be elevated into the noble quality of friendship. Perhaps, the only friend who can pass this rigorous test, is God.

Who will be able to pass that test if it is that rigorous?
To go on as before was after all those experiences not anymore possible, and I was there and I thought, why me, why me? But I would still be there if it would not have happened and it was probably the fastest and directest way getting out of it.

If we don't know the source, we cannot understand it and we thought we did it was all science and as it seems logical, but in reality we didn't know the source, therefore, it was not possible to understand it at all, even if we lived in the illusion of it and went on trying again and again and all in vain and that happened not only to me, but a lots of people who were with TM, they tried to understand it and realized in a way or other that it was impossible or even as it seems some died of it finally as there was no answer. It is not the intellect and asking the question what is the problem, but that we don't know the source and therefore, we don't know the right question and if we don't know the right question we cannot get the right answer, but everything depends on that only, that we have to get the right and not the wrong answer.
In reality was repeated what had been learnt by heart non-stop without any real background information, it just looked like it, but that was the biggest illusion, the real wisdom was missing and they didn't know anything about it, not about mantras, not about Patanjali, not about the yoga sutras and their reaction, the insights and the wisdom related to those insights, about all of that, the real wisdom was missing. We knew nothing about it and all was just learnt by heart and very superficial and that means the source of knowledge was missing and if we don't know the source, we cannot understand it, we don't even know how to ask the right action if we don't know the source, how about getting the right answer. That is the meaning of being lost.

A relationship can certainly break into pieces, but it is not air usually and not on that spiritual level.
With Baba we got aware that, 'yogis are our friends' and that usually it is not meant like that and it should not break into pieces again, but as it did, there was nothing but pieces left. It made sense listening to his words that the air broke in pieces, noticing that it had been put together first and it was about right action and truth, they had been put together and it is wisdom only accessible to the enlightened one, therefore in Baba's words was also the right reflection of it and we get the answer only if we listen, but we have to listen, reading alone is not enough.

When we know the source and how we got there, we know why it can break into pieces and why there can be only pieces left, it was not the right path.
But it is like with the shadow, we have to follow it. It doesn't work if we don't realize that the shadow is a shadow only and therefore not real.
As long as we see the shadow as real, it has power over thoughts, emotions and feelings.

True friends are those who help us to uplift our life by cleansing our ideals and emotions and that is why the study circle is a great practice, as his words have that powerful effect to uplift our life and clean our ideals and emotions.

With mediation we had a mantra and it was repeated and it was not depending on anybody, they just had a mantra to use. We sat down and we meditated.
What we do in the circle is at the same time sharing the wisdom and it is not only on an individual level, but it is together with others that he is actually experienced as present and omnipresent.

True friends are those who help in uplifting your life by cleansing your ideals and emotions.

My memory looked like a picture book without explanation to the pictures, the right answer was missing. When Baba left the body, he asked at night and in the dream what had happened when that lady came back during that time and what has changed now?

He had left the body and he was in the dream stage and he asked me about what had happened when she came back in 84 and only pieces were left and why. I had to just wait for the answer so many years?
It was even before I went the first time to him. At that time I didn't know Baba yet and I had to all think it over again.
It was about the right question. If we don't know how to ask the right question, we cannot get to the right answer and as I didn't know the source, I didn't know the right question.
It is like following the track of an animal, if we don't know how to read a track, we will not find it. We first have to ask the right question and that is finding the track of the animal.

The Zen Buddhism's has the story of the ten bulls and how we first find it, catch it, tame it, ride it home and finally the bull is gone and what is left is the enlightened mind.
It is also a way we can understand how we follow the shadow and that the shadow has four legs. In every picture of the divine we have an animal and with Ganesh it is a mouse. Mother Kali is riding a lion, Durga a tiger, Lord Shiva is with his bull, it is the body consciousness.

True friends are those who help in uplifting your life by cleansing your ideals and emotions.
