The One who has the Greatest Satisfaction in Life is the Richest Person. - Baba

Embodiments of divine Love! As long as a person is conceited and egotistical, no one will like that person. Even their wedded spouse and their own children, though they may appear to respect them externally, will not be happy with an arrogant person. As long as one is filled with ego, one can never be really happy. Therefore, at the very outset, you should get rid of your ego (ahamkara). If one is filled with anger, one cannot experience joy (Krodham hithva na sochathi). Only when anger is subdued, happiness can be experienced. As long as one is filled with insatiable desires, one cannot feel really wealthy. The moment the person gives up desires, all riches will come to them. Till the moment a person is greedy, they will be a stranger to happiness. When you give up greed, you will feel endowed with all riches.

Swami's words are like a window frame and in that frame we now it is a window and if we open it we feel and experience the Atma, but we have to listen, think it over and absorb.
It has to become one with us, we have to feel it. We see it in our own life and we get fully into it in all levels possible to get the message.
Often when I read his thought for the day, I don't just read it, because I know it is not the same when reading and I don't want to build up some resistance in the mind as it can get scared probably, because we cannot just understand it like that and it feels all different actually if we begin to listen to it, we listen and think it over and absorb it and we don't just read.

Embodiments of divine Love! As long as a person is conceited and egotistical, no one will like that person.

Why does he tell us embodiment of divine Love?
Because we are with him and he is divine Love and we want to be the same as he is. We know he is the Atmic principle, he told us many times and always again in other words the same, the principle, that is his message and we have to do an effort to understand it.
A principle is about truth and it has to be understood. It is not sentimental, it is not mood making, it is not an illusion, it is not the mind and the body, it is a divine principle, the 'I am that' and we have to realize that all are the same 'I am that', he is it, we are it, all are it, right? That is how we find it in Veda, 'Though Art That', 'I am That', 'We are That', 'All are That'. That is the core of it, the heart, everything turns around 'that' only.
We are all one and the same and because we are one, the differences fall away.
There are no differences if we are all one. We have two realities, one is inseparable only divine and one and there is no second and we have the world and nothing is ever the same, it is always changing and the oneness is underlying what is always changing and we have to learn to see unity in diversity.

Even their wedded spouse and their own children, though they may appear to respect them externally, will not be happy with an arrogant person. As long as one is filled with ego, one can never be really happy.

What is he telling us? People do not like us if there is ego, not even our own family, even if such a person seems respected externally, in reality we are not happy with such an arrogant person and if we see it the American way we would tell someone like that, as long as one is filled with ego, he cannot be really happy, and he is a loser.
In America we like to look at ourselves as winners and losers, if we want to win we have to know how to be happy, we just have to get that Atmic principle experienced to know how to be a winner, otherwise, in the end we will be the loser.
Someone who cannot think over Baba's words and see it in the light of our own life, someone who is not able to feel it and to taste it, doesn't get the joy of the Atmic principle and that means he will never know the difference between mind and Atma really and the result will be that he will never be really happy. If we don't do any effort to understand that highest level of happiness and bliss Baba is teaching to us, we will make the experience that we don't know it, that we don't know how to know it, that we don't understand it, that we don't know how to live it and to feel it and that we are therefore not happy, but miserable. We are just not good enough to get that divine principle and to do all we can to get it. It is a gift of Swami if we have the opportunity to think it over to make a difference, we can taste it, we can enjoy it, we can feel it, we can go for it, we can plunge into it and be in it, we can make it part of our life.

Therefore, at the very outset, you should get rid of your ego (ahamkara). If one is filled with anger, one cannot experience joy (Krodham hithva na sochathi).

If we have our focus on all being the same, we can either have the feeling that Swami is present and that we are all one, the experience we know from Darshan, what is as we know now uplifting our life, with other words, it feels good, it is cleansing our ideal and emotions, not only our emotions, but also our ideal, what leads to the experience that all questions are answered, as it is cleaning our ideal, we have no problems anymore, that is the feeling, but what really happens is that the influence of the highest principle, the Atmic principle, the 'I am that' is uplifting our life and cleansing our ideal and emotions. That is what happens during a Swami Darshan and why we come out of it happy and fulfilled and what happened also is that we were in a group, we are not alone, we were one with him and all - in the midst of people.
If there is silence in people and we feel the lively and special silence in the air, it is because of that process of Darshan.
If we listen to Swami's words he is telling us why. He explained it not long ago, he said, 'God is our best friend' and a friend is always uplifting our life and cleansing the ideal and our emotions.
That is what we experienced during Darshan and not just silence, that is the reason we felt good and not silence, the focus is that all are the same divine principle, 'I am that' and the silence is the result of it, but the focus is not on silence, that is mind again, a wrong conclusion, because we don't listen to Swami's words.
If we listen to Swami's words he is telling us why we experience that silence during Darshan and why all questions seemed to be answered, it is because that divine principle is uplifting our life and it is cleansing our ideal and our emotions and we go out of the Darshan with a good feeling and it feels like all problems gone, but in reality nothing is done, we just listen to Swami's words and he is telling us how to look at it, how to understand it, how to live it and how to make the experience of it.
In reality the only thing done is our homework. We learnt the lesson, but next day will be again a new lesson, there will be again a new frame and we have to look through that frame at the situation and we have to open the window and see it the way it is in our own life in our own experience and if we just notice walking by that it is a window, but we don't do any effort to open it and to see what is behind it, we will not learn the lesson and we can spiritually not succeed.
We will just think, 'again Baba's window, how nice' and walk by without opening it. The mind will tell us that we are a Baba devotee, just because we looked at the window in passing by, but if we don't open it and don't get the message, we are not real devotees, we just think we are, we are as Baba tells part time devotees or no devotees at all.

Only when anger is subdued, happiness can be experienced. As long as one is filled with insatiable desires, one cannot feel really wealthy.

If we look through that wisdom frame and we see the shadow and anger, how can we subdue it?
Few days ago I had an experience with another car driver that made just that anger come up and I was kind of taken aback to be able to feel that much anger, I felt like in rage for just a moment.
I wanted to park the car on a space which turned out being too small that means my car was too big to fit in that small place and the other had to pass by, but he didn't do it, he had an ever bigger car and he just sat there making me a sign that he couldn't pass, like I had the intention to leave it there and he was not happy about it. He was just standing there and not moving and actually I couldn't move away, so he trapped me in telling he couldn't pass and I had to go back on the road and around him and I felt that upset just by such a small thing. He could have passed, but he didn't, he was standing in my way and it was actually Tamas, he did it like I was the one making it impossible for him to pass.
tipped with my finger on my head making him a sign that he is stupid. I had to turn back in the street and drive around him to park the car in the backyard, that was the scenario and I got that upset by such a small thing, I was just not in the mood to take that or whatever that was, but I was kind of taken aback by my own inner reaction and that I didn't stay calm, but got that upset, but that is how I had to face the shadow, it helps to know what is shadow and what is light and to see the difference. We go towards the light, but we have to follow the shadow.

Only when anger is subdued, happiness can be experienced. As long as one is filled with insatiable desires, one cannot feel really wealthy.

How do we subdue the anger?
It was not only that car driver, he made come up a situation that was upsetting. It reminded me at my father and all negative feelings I probably ever had seemed to come up in that very moment just because of that situation and I was kind of taken aback that I had in such a way to get aware of the shadow.

The moment the person gives up desires, all riches will come to them.

If we are full of desires, we cannot feel fulfilled and it is even worse with greed, we are a stranger to happiness, it means we don't know happiness really, we cannot be happy as greed is consuming us like an inner fire and there is no inner rest as greed is always looking for something and maybe that feels also like search, but it is not really search it is just restlessness of the mind and greed, because we cannot let it go and just be happy.

Till the moment a person is greedy, they will be a stranger to happiness.

Do you remember how greed feels and the difference between restlessness of the mind and search that has not to do with greed? We have to live and feel Swami's words. We have to taste it, swallow it and digest it. Swami's words are like a meal and we are hungry for that food, if we are bright enough to know it or not, the hunger is always there.
We are hungry for that 'pure love' and getting our life again uplifted and our ideal and emotions cleansed.
We look for the food outside, somewhere else and not where we really find it, inside and in Swami's words.
If there is greed, there must also be a feeling of being a stranger as our normal state of happiness is for someone who is greedy a stranger. We maybe get even lost and don't find our way around anymore if we are a stranger and we are for sure not able to listen to Swami's words and to see the experience in it and that we have to make his words part of our own life. Greed has to get always more, even if there is already too much it still wants more, because being a stranger to happiness must end up in restlessness of the mind constantly searching for something.

When you give up greed, you will feel endowed with all riches.

Swami reminds us here that only someone who is able to give up greed will be endowed with all riches, it is not a material feeling of being rich, it is all riches, inner riches, in the higher self we feel as rich, it makes life rich, fulfilled and great, we arrived at the highest principle, the 'I am that', the highest we can achieve and succeed.
It feels totally right and together with the others we feel like in a Darshan and in Swami's presence and life has that special quality when human values are present and we are again a step closer to bliss, that is the divine reality, uplifting our life, cleansing our ideal and emotions and greed or outer richness can never replace that.
We never feel as good as in a Baba Darshan.
The outside level is ephemeral and it will not last, we cannot take it with us when we die, but the divine bliss we are and if we die in bliss there is God and the ultimate happiness and fulfillment and we know where we go, that is what is life about and only then we can think that our life is a success and not a failure.
We have to know where we come from and who we are and where we go, that are the questions Baba asked everybody coming in his presence in his ashram.

Spirituality is not just silence, it is uplifting life and it is cleansing the ideal and the emotions.
That was the same with meditation, therefore, it said no problems, just sit and mediate, but it doesn't work if we are not doing it. We sat down and meditated and knew we would learn how to use more of the mental potential and that was uplifting our life and we cleansed our emotions with the mantra repetition and with deep silence and usually the problems were gone after a meditation and if not in that meditation, so in the meditation in the evening or the next one, but we just went on meditating, knowing that it will take care of it if it was true or not, we believed in it and we knew we did the right thing and it was right action and that is cleansing the ideal. We thought because of that reason that we have the support of mother nature, what Baba mentions as the grace of God.
But only if we meditate we have that support of nature, if we don't do it we are not going beyond the mind and we are not on a consciousness level one with everybody and therefore, there is no reason for support of nature, it depends if we practice or not and that is the same with Swami, if our focus is not on oneness and we don't see that there is an indivisible divinity behind it and we don't live that state of the divine reality or unity in diversity and we treat everybody as the same, as Baba always is telling us to do, there is no reason why we should have the grace of God.
If we see that there is no difference and all are God and we are with all the same, devotees or not, no difference, it can feel like family, but the focus is on the oneness, not on the family. If we focus on family, whatever family and also the Sai family as Baba said, we are part time devotees only. It is not the whole, it is therefore the mind and only part of it.
We have to go always for the highest and that is the divine principle and everybody is one and that means by natural law, there cannot be a difference or we have misunderstood it or such obstacles in the mind that we don't want to get aware of it.
God is everything and we cannot make differences and think we are with God if we are not with God, but with the differences, there is no difference and he is inseparable on that level, there is only one and there is only pure love and that is uplifting our life and it cleanses our ideals and emotions and not only the life of rich people are uplifted by that Atmic principle, but the life of all people in his Darshan, no matter if they are rich or not.
We cannot allow our mind to make a difference and treat some people in a different way and think it is God anyhow, there is something wrong in that way of thinking, we are all one, be alike to everyone (Baba).

It is really natural law, we know it or we don't know it, we listen or we don't listen and we cannot expect to be awarded and to have God's grace for not listening to Swami's words.
