Every being is an embodiment of the Divine. True human relationship can grow only when this truth is recognised. The first stage is where you recognise, 'I am in the Light.' Next is when you know, 'The Light is in me,' and finally you realise, 'I am the Light.' 'I' represents love and light which connotes Supreme Wisdom (Jnana). When love and light unite, there is Realisation. The path of devotion is easier than the path of wisdom. Love should come from within, not forced from outside. Develop spontaneous love. The attitude of petitioning to God for favors should be given up. Love of God should not be based on quid pro quo, seeking favors in exchange for prayers and offerings to God. Place your faith in God and do your duty to the best of your ability. Saturate yourself with love and share it with all.
We had a Satsang at the weekend and some interesting speeches. There was a Baba student talking, he had been in his school and he said that Swami told them that no matter where they will be and are that we belong to him. If we belong to him, he is everywhere and we all have to learn after he left the body to see him in our heart and that seems to be the more difficult part to understand.
Every being is an embodiment of the Divine. True human relationship can grow only when this truth is recognised.
We know since a while that we are the same, 'I am that' and we talk always about it and how it expanded to 'all are that', therefore, there is only one, 'I am that' and it is the higher self.
We talk and write about it since years, but if we don't think it over we anyhow don't get it and why not?
If people talk about family it is mind, as long as there is a difference between families, the divine family Swami is talking about it on the Atma level and it needs really listening, thinking it over to be able to absorb. It is the level we see in the Krishna stories and other divine stories and the Bhagavad Gita is as well that is the higher level, in reality it happens in our heart.
The Atma level is only one and Swami told us if we see it as family there is less danger of falling down again.
The family he is talking about is humanity, there is no difference on the outer level, if there is a difference, it is mind only. All are part of that divine family without exception or as it is in the Bhagavad Gita, we are either of the side of the devotees and the friends and Krishna or on the other side of the enemy. If we live in Maya, senses and the mind and illusion, we are part of the enemy and if we live truth and oneness and Atma it is the family of the Pandava brothers, we are on the good side.
As long as we have a family and it is different from other families, we are not on the level of truth, the same with religions. As long as we have differences on the outer level, it is the mind, only if it is about the Atma, it is one and the same, but on that level there is only one and no second and therefore, it is a bit difficult to understand what it is a family anyhow.
It helps the human mind to understand it, but it is not on the level of differences, otherwise, we are in the mind.
The same with the countries, as he told us we have to see all as one. There is only one and no difference, by seeing it like that we can go beyond geographical and historical differences, that is artificial and imposed and mind.
The oneness is the core of it, but it is on all levels, we have to transcend the mind and the body.
We are all one and even if I know it and we have experienced it still it needs to be realized and we have to listen, think it over to be able to absorb.
There was that 'I am that' above a devotee in the air and it was during Bhajans and in the insight in the dream we had been both the same 'I am that' and that is how it expanded to all. 'He is that', 'We are that', 'All are that', 'I am that'.
It was in the insight as 'I am the One', that is 'I am that'. It is not the ego and not the body, it is the right conclusion to our insights, it is the result of thinking it over and if we practice we are able to absorb it in our own self and at the same time we get aware of the self.
The first stage is where you recognise, 'I am in the Light.' Next is when you know, 'The Light is in me,' and finally you realise, 'I am the Light.' 'I' represents love and light which connotes Supreme Wisdom (Jnana). When love and light unite, there is Realisation.
If we translate, he is 'that' as he is the light, we recognize that we are in the light, but to realize that the light is in us we have to focus on truth to be able recognize that the light is in us and to finally get to the conclusion that 'I am the light' is only possible if there is constant integrated awareness at all times and we know that we are the light as different from darkness, and we followed the shadow enough to be aware of the difference between the shadow, llusion and the light, to be able to realize that we are the light.
Swami is telling us here that the 'I' represents love and light which connotes Supreme Wisdom and love is the heart.
The path of devotion is easier than the path of wisdom. Love should come from within, not forced from outside. Develop spontaneous love.
The attitude of petitioning to God for favors should be given up. Love of God should not be based on quid pro quo, seeking favors in exchange for prayers and offerings to God.
No other example comes to my mind but my ex, he is an example of someone who went to Swami asking for things and that is the meaning of petitioning God, isn't it? If we place our faith in him and do our duty to the best of our ability we don't ask for material things, it was him who said in the dream that he would take care of it and we shoul'd not worry about it, but that someone could only take advantage of it, that is also real. It was about insights and not seeing any difference, all are the same and my ex said that he had asked for it and he knew that he got it and it sounded like all the same, but it was not and that is how the dilemma began.
What we thought was love actually was something else and we thought we shared it with all and it was just taken advantage of it.
But no action is only good, no matter what we are doing, we always have to purify the mind no matter what going beyond the mind, we are not able to transcend it if we don't have the right attitude and if we don't see all as one, what is difficult as it seems, we have not the right attitude.
That is why there is a history on the divine level and he makes us aware of it and that is how we are able to experience a reality like twin-souls.
The attitude of petitioning to God for favors should be given up. Love of God should not be based on quid pro quo, seeking favors in exchange for prayers and offerings to God.
Swami said that he gives first what we ask for so that we should be able to finally take came to give.
We asked for wisdom and love, there had been lots of insights and they didn't make sense and it was not answered by not thinking it over and in my mind it had nothing to do with taking advantage of it, but with sacrifice to finally get the right answers, I thought he would be helping me to get right answers as you do in a sense in that job writing you.
The duty is to keep that awareness of oneness and that are on the level of Atma one and the same, being near to the divine, that is the duty.
We had it in the study circle and Baba explained that it was not meant to help others selfless service or not only, but to be close and near to divinity and we are that only when we are aware that we are one and the same and there are no differences. To hold up that awareness, to always remember him is our primary duty. We are all the same, there is no difference and there is no such thing as a different family, we are one the same like with the religions.
There is only one religion and that is love and there is only one caste, and that is humanity and there is only one God and he is omnipresent.
Baba should tell us, there is only one family and it is humanity instead of caste, but he is talking to India and we are not really aware of it.
If we look at it that way it does make sense and as soon as we can see a difference between families, like the Mafia is also a family …, we are on the mind level.
We are family on the divine level, we can see ourselves as twins and father and mother is divinity, we can see it as incarnated with the Lord and it could also be next incarnation, it doesn't matter if he will be older, his message becomes known after he begins to teach and that is why we have to think about Prema Sai the new incarnation. It helps the mind to understand that part of the big family as different from a mind family and what we usually think a family is.
We are one, there is no separate entity and only if we get aware of that oneness, we are able to transcend the historical and geographical and artificial differences established by our upbringing and only if we are able to transcend the mind we can make that experience of pure love.
We have to accept truth and that is truth and we have to accept right action and constantly remember that we are one being close and near him and in that manner we understand peace and only if we have the three things, truth, right action and peace, we are able to make the experience of pure love.
Place your faith in God and do your duty to the best of your ability. Saturate yourself with love and share it with all.
