For this universal ailment of the cycle of birth and
death (bhava-roga), listening to spiritual discourses (sravana) and
singing God's name (kirtana) is a mandatory prescription. God's Name,
Vedas and Puranas must be recited and listened to. Performing all these, if you
do not awaken your own inner consciousness (antah-karana), you will
fall into perdition. Hence, to attain God's Grace, the feeling of
'I-ness' (ahamkara), which makes you say, "I am the doer",
should be rooted out from your heart. Everyone learned or illiterate, should
feel an overwhelming urge to know God. God has equal affection toward all His
children, for to illumine is the nature of light. So too, uttering God's name,
one can progress in the realisation of God, another may perhaps do wicked
deeds! It depends on your usage of the light. Remember - the Lord's name is
without blemish, always and forever.

To attain God’s grace the feeling
of ‘I-ness’ (ahamkara), should be rooted out from the heart. There is no such
thing as ‘I’ and whenever we think, ‘I know the answer’, we are in the ego. It
is about intelligence, Maharishi called it ‘creative intelligence’, if we know
that there is an universal ‘I’ and that is in everybody and we should realize
our higher self, we have to first get aware that the ‘I-ness’ doesn’t exist in
the body. I am the doer is that feeling of ‘I-ness’ and when Baba said in the
interview room, how do you feel, he made me aware of it – that it is a feeling.
Do you know how easily that feeling is there and we don’t get aware of it?
So first we have to get aware of it and then we are able to realize that he is the one. The man in the dream who is there to awake us, is not giving us the answer that we can tell, ‘I know the answer’, he is awakening us and that is not the same thing as giving the answer.

there to awake us talks to us in mirror writing, these are insights, pictures
reflected in the mirror and only when we see the same pictures in his words,
when he is talking about it, we recognize ‘truth’ and are able to recognize, ‘I
am that’.
That is what happened after he
said ‘engaged’. I had been looking a long time ago in that mirror writing and ‘I
knew it was not possible to know it’, but I didn’t know how to get the answer.
So he said, ‘engaged’ and on your birthday morning it was also in the air, like
Darshan, ‘I am that’, it was about both of us because Baba had said ‘engaged’.
That was for me the ‘mirror’, in that reflection that you were the same, or
better you were it and I was the same, what is like that inner marriage and
certainly the reason why Baba always asked, ‘where is your husband?’ That was
the reflection and by getting aware of that reflection I got aware of being the
same and afterwards during the time in Prasanthi before Baba left the body, it
was again present above a devotee who had realized it, it was in the air as ‘I
am that’ and when I saw it – it feels like my eyes are looking at it and now we
can see it and it is no more mirror writing or the reflection in the mirror
reflects back and we can again read it and it is no more a secret, but we can
actually see it, it expanded to all ‘singers’ and it was of course Baba, it is
Baba’s heart.
Thou art that, divinity is that,
reflected in you as ‘you are that’ and therefore, ‘I am that’ and ‘all are that’.
With other words the mirror
writing was now seen as reflection and by that we could read it and it made
sense. Like that the man in the dream is able to reflect as ‘I am the One’ he
is divinity and in that divinity as he is the One, when getting aware of it in
the insight and in the mirror, we get aware of it that it is ‘divinity’ and we
are the same and there is only one. If it is reflected in the mirror of my own
self as the ‘One’ it cannot be different from me …
In the insight it is the mirror
of the heart and as every mirror it is in mirror writing and that is probably why
misunderstandings happen and everybody wants to be able to
know the answer and that is ego and mind and they tell Baba is talking in me, that is the mind it is not a reflection in the heart.
We look in the mirror and see the
mirror writing and the mind tells, ‘I know the answer’. But that is not right and it is not true, it is a mind
answer.
We have to wait until we listen
to him and see the reflection in his words and he is the answer. It is like
every time we look in the mirror we see a light. We know it is light, but we
have to listen and think it over to be able to absorb. That light in the mirror
is mirror writing and even if we know it is mirror writing, we cannot get the
answer with the mind, we have to wait until we get the reflection in the mirror
reflected back by Baba’ words and in that moment we realize, ‘he is the answer
and that is why ‘I don’t know’, but he knows that is discrimination.
That is why I said to my ex
when we met that there is no way ‘I can know’, but now I know he couldn’t know
as well and that is why he took just advantage of it in telling me that he
knows.
He cannot now, even if he is
American, he cannot not know the answer. He has to listen to Baba’s words and
look in the mirror of his words and when it is reflected inside in the insight
and the following step, Baba gives the answer.
Cognition is like looking in the
mirror and knowing the difference from direct seeing with the eyes on the
outside level and indirect seeing as reflection in our own self in the mirror
of the heart. We have to realize the difference and in that difference is
discrimination and our talk about just ‘love’ doesn’t help, because love makes
blind and if we listen to that voice, we don’t see the reality mirrored by Baba
in the heart. Love is just the beginning and it is telling us that we have to
focus on the heart, because in the heart is the mirror, but in that heart and
in that mirror of the heart if we don’t use discrimination, we are in the mind
only.
That is why he is telling us we
have to use discrimination first and afterwards we have to see it in our own
life and we have to go on no matter what obstacles are there. We are not able
to understand the mirror writing if we are not seeing it in our own life, it is
like too strange and too much external of our own self to be integrated. We have
to listen and think it over to make it part of our own self in our own life
to get the creative work inside started that it begins inside to think it over
and we get aware of it that it is part of our own self.
It is all on the level of
reflection and that reflection is also answered by him. He is the insight
(reflection in the heart) and he is the following step, reflected by thinking
it over and listening to his words in him. He is the answer, he is doer and on
that level we understand that the ‘I know the answer’ is in the way and our
worst enemy.
Everyone learned or illiterate, should feel an
overwhelming urge to know God. God has equal affection toward all His children,
for to illumine is the nature of light. So too, uttering God's name, one can
progress in the realisation of God, another may perhaps do wicked deeds! It
depends on your usage of the light. Remember - the Lord's name is without
blemish, always and forever.
If we don’t love truth and we are
not honest enough in our own self to tell us ‘I don’t know and I know that I
don’t know’, we will never get there to see his reflection in our own self and
we cannot realize the self, because the ego is too strong. In fact, knowing that ‘I don’t know’ is just intelligent, the other is stupid if I think I know, that is the mind and ego. We are just using our intelligence if we get aware of the reflection in the heart and that we cannot know in a direct manner with the mind, but we have to wait until he reflects it back as ‘that’, it means ‘I am that’, it is pure love only.
If we see the reflection and ‘He knows’ and as he said, ‘we and he is I’, it is the reflection in the heart and we have to cognize it, it is cognition and realization and the mind will never be able to know what we only can see in the mirror of the heart and in that mirror what is mirrored is the reality of divinity and that is he knows and ‘I don’t know’, but when the insight is, ‘I am that one’ as it is a reflection in the heart, finally we know there cannot be a difference between his reflection and our reflection in the heart.
It is the example of the glass of water. We meditate and do Sadhana to keep the water in the glass pure, if the water is pure, the sun is able to reflect in it and the water is able to see the reflection of the sun in itself and it gets aware of it and tells, ‘I am that’ the sun light and that is self-realization.
We have to keep the mind and heart pure to be able to see the reflection, if the water is dirty we cannot see the reflection, the sunlight is only reflecting in pure and clear water and not in dirty water.
