Divine Grace can Nullify the Effects of Karma

Scholars say, it is impossible to escape karma. What they say is true to a certain extent. Now, you may wonder if there is a way to escape from the consequences of karma. Yes, it is possible for everyone, if they ‘earn’ the grace of God. Once you deserve and receive God’s grace, you will not be affected by karmaphala (consequences of Karma). Hence, strive to earn divine grace. When you earn Divine grace, even if you have to experience the consequences of karma, you will not feel the pain. Consider the example of a bottle with medicine. The medicine will have an expiry date. After the expiry date, the medicine will lose its potency. Likewise, God’s grace will make the karmaphala ‘expire’, and nullify the effects of karma. The most important aspect here is to ‘deserve’ His Grace. You must cultivate necessary strength and willpower to deserve divine grace, and be free from the shackles of karma.
Baba (thought for the day)

If we think over that thought for the day, what are the questions we have to ask?
Scholars say, it is impossible to escape karma. Who are the scholars? Does Baba agree with it or not?
What they say is true to a certain extent.
He is telling us that it is only true to a certain extent and why only to a certain extent?

Now, you may wonder if there is a way to escape from the consequences of karma.

It means Baba is making us wonder if the scholars are not right and what do we have to do that they are not right? Is there a way to escape from the consequences of Karma?

Yes, it is possible for everyone, if they ‘earn’ the grace of God. Once you deserve and receive God’s grace, you will not be affected by karmaphala (consequences of Karma).

And here he is giving us the answer. It is possible to escape from the consequences  of Karma if we earn the grace of God.
How do we deserve and receive God’s grace to not be affected by the (consequences of Karma)?

Hence, strive to earn divine grace.

We have to earn the divine grace, but how? Can we earn the divine grace if he is telling us that he was because of some reason which is related to a certain situation with us in the ashram in the wheelchair? Why he had to take that on him or was it his Karma?

When you earn Divine grace, even if you have to experience the consequences of karma, you will not feel the pain.

With divine grace if we have to experience the consequence of karma, we will not feel the pain, but we experience anyhow the consequences of Karma.
Not the consequences are not there, but the pain is not felt, okay? Some people think that the consequences of Karma will be nullified, but he is telling us there that we don't feel the pain. And it means if we don't feel the pain, life can go on in 'divine love', with his message and 'bliss', but it is not possible to separate 'his message' and 'divine right action' and therefore, there cannot be any 'pure love' and 'grace' if there is no 'pure love' and there is no peace, but violence and attachment and hatred in the mind and not pure love.
How do we get to that conclusion? There is no other way but accepting truth and if that is falsehood it is 'that truth' and there is no other way than to accept 'right action'.

Not the effect or consequence will change. The medicine, the Karma which is limited to some extend because it has its roots in the past and our action in the past, the medicine will lose its potency.
Baba is telling us that God can make the Karma ‘expire’ and it does nullify the effects of Karma. When we listen, think it over and absorb, we go through our own life and think it over and by that it begins to transform. How can we ‘deserve’ his grace? We have to listen to him, he is present in this words.
We have to cultivate the necessary strength and willpower to deserve that grace, there has to be ‘pure love’, only if we do that, we will be free from the shackles of karma.
How do we get the experience of ‘pure love’ to be able to discriminate between pure love and not pure love?
We have to make the experience and it has to be testified experience and not just developing our imaginative faculty of the mind. If we think we can get everything from Baba, we go beyond the law of Karma. We don’t want to ask for everything, we go for the grace of God to nullify the effects of Karma. Desires and especially material desires create new Karma. But there are also things that can happen because of Karma. Is that what happened to us in the ashram with Baba because of past Karma? I guess there is no other way to see it, but as Karma.
In getting aware of it or in thinking it over and seeing it in our own life and by that following the inner master and Baba’s words we should be able to earn the grace of God, do you agree? As long as we follow Baba’s command and inner guidance and not the mind.
To earn divine grace we have to make the inner experience of ‘pure love’, only that can get us in touch with the divine and make us able to know the difference between ‘pure love’ and just developing the imaginative faculty that we ‘know love’, when we don’t know really what is illusion and by that imaginative ‘knowledge’ we build up a spiritual ego and mind and get stuck in it. We think we do everything right, but we don’t listen to Baba and therefore, we have not even yet the awareness that there has to be discrimination between ‘pure love’ and our capacity in the mind to develop an imaginative faculty of the mind.
He tells us how to get the experience of pure love. We have to understand peace first and we have to accept is 'truth'.
It means we have to accept it if there is no discrimination possible in our mind because ‘we don’t know’ and we have to listen to Baba to get to the right experience. It begins with ‘accepting truth’ and discrimination between ‘truth’ and our ‘imaginative faculty of the mind’ and our tendency in taking advantage of the delusive and characteristic nature of the universe to go for self-elevation of the mind only, instead of facing ‘truth’.
As we have to accept truth, we have to go for truth and not develop the imaginative faculty of the mind thinking, we ‘know’ if we actually 'don't know and blow up our ego in thinking that we did everything right and ‘we feel good in that imagination, what is nothing but ‘self-elevation of our mind’.
We have to accept the truth. We have to be able to go beyond the imaginative faculty of our mind thinking ‘we know’ and by that we have to accept that ‘he knows’ and if we accept that as true, we have to listen to him. The consequence of understanding it right in the sense of peace and world peace, we have by listening to Baba’s words to purify our mind, we have to hold on to Sadhana or we have to meditate, we have to do self-enquiry otherwise, we will never get there and only if we have those three things, truth, right action and peace, we are able to make the experience of ‘pure love’.
When we accept truth we accept the reason why we have to do it and when we accept right action, we accept the need for purification of the mind to be able to understand peace. Only when we have those three things, we can make the experience of ‘pure love’ and if we have the experience of pure love we can earn the Grace of God. And only if we have the Grace of God our Karma can be nullified. The Grace of God is related to the word.
I was still a teenager when I began to watch, as everybody around me said that I was not right, but it didn’t make sense and I began to ‘watch’ to find the right answer so that it will make sense finally. It was that disturbing I realized it was not possible to make any normal decision if I would not get the right answer. I decided after reading Paramansa Yogananda that I will see in my parent’s God only and I would not change anything until it would come from the inside from my own inner self and to just watch until the watcher, who is the inner self, will change something out of the watcher himself. I had my job and I went on with it, watching and not changing job if I didn’t like it, but I went on until there was in the insight the higher self. In that time I didn’t read any books to not be distracted by it, I just watched and went on watching, even when I didn’t understand it what happened after a while, the mind doesn't understand the inner view or the insights. Baba is the insights and the following step.
After all there was the inner self. It was present in the dream, it was like being awake, but sleep at that same time. If was light and beauty and of such amazing love, after waking up I knew it was all I wanted, but how to get there? It was transcendental and beyond the body, the body was sleeping and dark, out of that light we could see the body sleeping and there was a blue ribbon between the higher self and the body and in that blue ribbon was only one word, ‘self’. I thought that it was good that I knew it was the higher self, because the light was that bright I would have come to the conclusion that it is God and it was somehow better to get in touch with the higher self than to develop the imaginative faculty that it was God without knowing it.

That is was the higher self that was clear. After watching I don’t remember anymore for how long, it ended with the higher self and that changed the situation, I quit the job on the spot, because the waiting had become a burden and I was glad to start new again and I had enough of self-experience now to be occupied in trying to get closer to that.

But what I want to tell you by that is that first was the word. There was just watching, I thought that my parents were God, but I just did my best and my life went on in my job and I had no much contact with my family, I tried already to keep distance and I tried to know why it felt disturbed and not like I had felt before in the parent’s house. And everything else followed, the catastrophe above the head of the father, the illusion above him in the air when he said he planned to build a house in Spain and with mother there was a precipice in the air, I didn’t understand yet at that time, because I didn’t listen to Baba’s words on a regular basis and the manipulation of the neighbor and that he was responsible came up later on being in Baba’s ashram. First was only the word, the light and it said ‘self’. And I got in touch with the Hare Krishnas, because it was not possible to live that in a relationship and I went into meditation to get closer to the higher self and finally we came to Baba and with him we got aware that the word is with God. It is his message and without that message of God and love we would never have gone to Baba. There was only one word after watching and it said ‘self’ and with Baba we had to get aware that the higher self is on an universal level as it is for all of us the same higher self, that it is God and the word is with God, he talked to us about ‘self-realization’ and it expanded on an unlimited level.
And it seems Karma brought up all what was no okay in the past and the catastrophe above the father somehow mirrored in the story with Baba.
But it doesn’t mean that the people who are involved are doing the right thing, that catastrophe shows actually that it is not the case. It happened because they are not doing the right thing. There is no discrimination and there is no right focus and there is no grace of God if we don’t go in the direction of right action and truth and peace, there will be no pure love and no grace of God. What is there instead if such people think they are great devotees even if the basis of it is not understood. The only thing what is developing is the imaginative faculty of the mind to think ‘that it is from God and from Baba and that it is Baba, when in reality he takes only advantage of the delusion of characteristic nature of the mind and it is only about self-elevation and self-aggrandizement of the ego and not ‘truth’. If we don’t use discrimination we can go on in self-elevation of the mind and in developing the imaginative faculty of the mind and live in the delusion of thinking it is all Baba, when nothing of it is true really.

There is no Grace of God on that level, it is only the mind and there is no ‘pure love’ or any love possible on that level, it is based on falsehood and it leads to violence and there is attachment, therefore, it is not possible to see truth and the only thing it can lead to is hatred and that is the level of the demons, they hate God.

You see we have to accept truth and right action if we want to earn God’s grace. It is not possible with developing our imaginative faculty of the mind to earn the Grace of God. If we develop the imaginative faculty of the mind imagining that we have the Grace of God, we live just in self-elevation of the mind and ego and in self-aggrandizement and we are blind and don’t know what we are doing. As long as there is no Grace of God the Karma will go on and the Karma will be felt and suffered and there is pain. Baba is the Grace of God and that is why he said to my ex, ‘give, give, give, I will not give, you lived a dream that is your problem and not mine’.

With these words he is telling us that there is Grace of God, but what we notice in the meantime that his imaginative faculty is developing and in his mind it gets worse and not better. And only if we earn the Grace of God he will nullify the effects of Karma and if we don't live Baba's message and we don't listen to his words, nothing of it is real, but it is all based on our mind developing its delusive and imaginative faculty to just imagine we are already there..., when we have not yet even understood the basics of it.

Likewise, God’s grace will make the karmaphala ‘expire’, and nullify the effects of karma. The most important aspect here is to ‘deserve’ His Grace. You must cultivate necessary strength and willpower to deserve divine grace, and be free from the shackles of karma.
