Pure Love and Using His Words

Listening to expositions by a speaker who has had the thrill of genuine experience is a blessing. The speaker’s face will blossom with joy; their eyes will shed tears of exhilaration at the very contemplation of the Lord’s glory. Listeners will easily catch that inspiration and experience the joy themselves as tears stream down their eyes. When an infant smiles, everyone around the infant also smiles in unison. So too the words of those who are saturated with devotion to God will saturate the hearts of the listeners too. Through that process of listening, a dirt-laden heart will be transformed into a clean and illumined heart which shines with genuine light and love. To the foul odors of sense-pursuits, keenness to listen to the glories of God is a valuable disinfectant, besides being in itself so full of sweet fragrance. Listening will effectively cleanse your heart.

In the study circle is not a speaker, but the sharing of thoughts and experiences.
I never went to the study circle before, because it felt boring. We had to talk a certain time and the next person was talking and I didn’t feel okay in the circle, I was scared of it and I didn’t get any answers or I was scared to expose myself to the others. So I was nervous usually when it was my turn to talk and that spoilt it.
It was the same with singing, as I never get to the experience I had with group meditation I had before, I didn’t want to sing. It didn’t feel good and it felt disturbing that we had to go over those fears to not remember the sound when it was my turn.
I refused to do it, because I didn’t want to think during all Bhajans, now it will be my turn. I cannot enjoy it that way, but if I just repeat the Bhajans and I don’t have to lead it feels okay and we can enjoy it.

There were always people telling me to sing as I had to make a point and I tell them to stop it. I didn’t want to sing every day just to feel comfortable on Thursday nights because we have Bhajans. I never felt really good in the centers and it was in no way what I had experienced with those weeks of meditation we shared before.

But in thinking it over and writing it down and the study circle we get to similar experiences as we had before and not by meditation, but by sharing the wisdom and pure love.
During a circle the participants are just sharing experience and thoughts about a text of Baba. We have to focus on the text and the questions and if there is one person in the circle who is not focused on the text and the circle, but on something else and finding faults with something, it is usually projected on the circle, we are in the mind and the circle is disturbed or interrupted.

People in too much passion usually think it is even right to do it and to criticize in the name of Baba or telling their version of what they think truth is, but in reality it is the mind only.
With meditation we had to tell to sit down and meditate and we watched a tape and afterwards the mind had changed.
I had during that time also an experience of ‘pure love’, it was during the teacher's training and I was not aware of it that it was just a reflection,
Therefore, I thought that it was the right path.
With Baba we have to get aware that the experience of pure love is only possible if we understand peace. We have to accept right action and we have to accept truth. We need three things, truth, right action and peace.
If we see that in the study circle, we have truth in Baba’s words. As he said in the insight, we should use his words. Thinking it over we get used to think in his words and we remember what Baba said. And if we use Baba’s words it truth. He is the Atma and he knows truth. If we use his words it is the level of truth.
Truth we need to get to pure love and we have to understand peace and we have to accept right action and that is in the circle (satsang), not only in sitting together and thinking over his words, is right action. Also in the circle sharing experiences in the light of his wisdom is right action.
Understanding peace is knowing that if we do not focus on the wisdom and Baba and the questions, we are actually often just in the mind and it results in criticizing and disturbing the circle. We often have the mind also present, so we have to know how to deal with it and for that we use Baba's words to get to peace. We have to understand it.

If we understand it there is peace. If people are able to talk together without interruption and without disturbing the circle, we have to use Baba’s words.
The circle is right action and to be a circle and not in the mind is understanding peace. And if we have those three things, truth, right action and peace, we get to the experience of pure love.
That was present in the experience of meditation as well. And that made it that good. We get there only with a spiritual effort. Also with meditation it was a spiritual effort, we had to meditate.
It is an illusion to think that we did nothing to get to that experience of 'pure love'.
But with the study circle we get there by understanding peace and the experience of pure love.
Understanding peace seems possible if we focus on Baba’s words during the study circle, if we do that we don't go into critics and arguing about something.
As Baba said, we should use his words.
There is no question about it, either we use Baba’s words and enjoy the bliss in his words and the incredible fulfillment on that level sharing together that wisdom or we are in the mind and get back with a headache.
It is not search, as Baba gives the answers. We think over Baba’s words to see it in our own life to be able to absorb the wisdom, but it is not search, it is study of wisdom.
The answers are already there, we have to absorb it. It is not search, because it is already given, but not absorbed and understood.
If we participate in a study circle, we tell your experience as everybody else and we see and remember it in Baba’s words and that is how we begin to see it in the insights and develop inner vision.
It can be his words and the thought for the day or the text we think over or the past texts, it has not to be only the words in that text we are reading. That seems to be a mistake in the mind of people doing the study circle. They think only about the present text and limit it to that text only and don’t connect it to what Baba said before, but if we talk about study, we have to absorb and connect to what Baba said and that cannot be limited only to that text.
If we interrupt and tell a person asking a question or telling experiences in the light of sharing he had before with Baba’s text that he should be limited to only to today’s text, we interrupt the process of absorbing it and it is not possible to understand it as peace, but it is the mind, telling others what to do.
So there seems to be practically no experience of peace, going around by habit in the circle, no real sharing, everybody is telling what he thinks and talking in a circle only.
That means people don’t get aware that in Baba’s words it truth and also they don't get aware of what happens doing in a study circle.
1.   In Baba’s words is truth, we have to use his words.
2.   Satsang and sitting together, going around in the circle is right action.
3.   Understanding it is peace.
We have to understand that we have to use his words and that we should focus on the text and not on the circle and usually people too much in the mind and too excited are in the mind and use anything coming up to interrupt the circle. A few weeks ago there was a guy coming in the room at 7 PM and he said, ‘we have an agreement, you can do the circle only until 7 PM’.
He wanted just to sit down only and Bhajans starts at 7.30 h, so there was no reason to interrupt the circle. It was rude and without consideration for the others and lacking respect for Baba’s wisdom and the circle.

Nevertheless, if we understand those three things, we understand peace. Truth (use Baba’s words), right action (satsang and circle), peace (without mind disturbance), we have the three things and if we have those three things, we are able to make an experience of pure love.
It reminds me at the meditation time, because there was also an experience of pure love and it was in the air, but afterwards were only pieces left.
It was not the right level, not the right path and not the right answer, even if the experience of ‘pure love’ was there.

And we get aware this way that the good experience of meditation was not only due to meditation, but because of pure love and there were also those three things, truth, right action and peace, as we find it in the study circle.
And that experience is there as the same, nothing lost, also not on the level of meditation, even if we meditated for much more time and now we don't focus on that anymore.
That is how we integrate even meditation experiences and pure love is fulfilling and that is why if it is not present some people seem to constantly be looking for something more. They don't know how to get to the experience of pure love.

A cleansed and pure heart is the most appropriate altar or tabernacle for the Lord. In that fragrant bower, the Lord will establish Himself. When the Lord establishes Himself, at that very moment, another incident too will happen. The group of six vices that had infested the place will quit instantly, without any farewell or fanfare. When these vices quit, the wicked retinue of evil tendencies and vulgar attitudes which live on them will break camp and disappear without leaving even their addresses! Then one will shine in one’s native splendor of Truth and Love (Sathya and Prema). That person will endeavor without hindrance to realize the Self, and finally succeed in merging with the Universal and Eternal. Liberated from the tangle of ignorance or maya, the mind will fade away. The long-hidden secret will be revealed.
