Joy is our Birthright, Peace is our Innermost Nature

Joy is your birthright; peace is your innermost nature. The Lord is your staff and support. Do not discard it; do not be led away from the path of faith by stories invented by malice and circulated by spite. Take up the name of God; it could be any one of His innumerable ones that appeals to you the most, and also chose the form appropriate to that name, and then start repeating it from now on - that is the royal road to ensure Joy and Peace. That will train you in the feeling of brotherhood and remove enmity towards fellowmen. When you sow seeds in the field, they can be eaten away by ants or washed off by rains or picked on by birds or destroyed by pests, still some seeds stave off all these and grow as strong and sturdy seedlings. Similarly, you must do everything to uphold the privilege of this birth and strive to return to the Lord.

How do we understand our innermost nature? We know from our meditation time that it was called a state of perfect orderliness and we reached in on that pure being level, repeating the mantra. It was a state of no thoughts, beyond time and space, it means we had no awareness of it, when thought came, we were back in the mind and thoughts were part of meditation, when we noticed that we were not thinking the mantra, we went effortlessly back to the mantra. That is how we transcended our mind and the thoughts and it was a state of non-conceptual pure being and it created perfect orderliness, that is peace, it was the result of a purified mind and we were able to meditate in private and if we did it in the group, knew we were stronger the influence on the collective consciousness level was much stronger.
How do we create that group effect in singing together, we should focus on the divine only, it is one, universal truth, if we listen to the one, we will feel the love and the good energy created by sharing the singing it is also a way of communication, but on a divine level, if we focus on oneness, if we are in our thoughts and busy in the mind thinking and listening to the others, we are in the mind and don't transcend the mind. What Swami said is that it is our duty to focus on divinity to be it, that is how we offer all differences and everything that is individual and personal and egoistic to him and transcend together in the group the mind and it becomes an experience of the divine being present. If we don't focus on one voice only we will not feel that divine presence, but probably feel disturbed on the mind level, to hold on to that all compassing divine awareness he said is our duty.

If we meditate, we repeat a mantra and we transcend the mind and with together we create that good energy and have an effect on consciousness, if we are singing devotional songs with Swami in focusing on the divine and it is done every Thursday all over the world, we also create that good influence and energy. In it are a lot of good vibrations, therefore, it is our duty to keep that oneness in our mind.

We offer to the divine the ignorance, the diversities, the differences between all, the illusion and every other offering in the mind what is illusion is not really an offering. He said that it is the only offering that is worth to be offered to the Lord.

If we are in the mind and we offer something, we first have to get rid of the illusion and it is not worthy of being offered to him.

Joy is your birthright; peace is your innermost nature. The Lord is your staff and support. Do not discard it; do not be led away from the path of faith by stories invented by malice and circulated by spite.

That is the level of joy, it is that level of pure being, non-changing and unlimited and therefore, it is also a level of joy. The level of permanent being is never changing into the level of temporal being. They are separate from each other, therefore, no energy will ever get lost and that is the realization of the divine to get aware that nothing changes and that everything is the same. It is only on the body level that the changes happen, but we are not aware of it in the mind and that is due to our attachments, if we get aware of the omnipresent divine we also get aware of it that nothing ever changes and that all our pain about what we have lost is in the mind only.

It begins already with the understanding of the family consciousness and it seems in the last years it has to become accustomed to call it Sai family, they see it as family and understand it as family and meet as family and the real purpose of going beyond the mind with the principle of 'I am that' gets lost in that focus of family what makes sense to the mind, but not to truth. There are many different families and if we are on that level, we are not basic enough to go beyond the mind and to realize that non-changing, divine and pure being. The omnipresence of the Lord cannot be experienced in parts and if we settle in our mind for a compromise and it is in parts, it is as Swami said, that are only part time devotees, there is no awareness of the underlying oneness really and it cannot lead to the right experience. If people hold up high the Sai family, they make sure they cannot experience the omnipresence of the divine, because in their mind they are separate from other families and other churches etc. whatever it is that difference, it is difference enough to make it impossible that they go beyond the mind and that is how the level of truth gets lost.

We have to get on a universal level to get to the right experience or the right answer.

We don't sit down together and share experiences only like some seen to understand the study circle, without the right focus that the one facet has to be found and it is from all side true and the always same and if we find it we also find truth and we feel his presence, but if we don't do that or how it happened in the past people even begin to argue, we will never get there. If we get to the divine reality and we don't understand it, we don't even know what we are doing in a study circle. If we don't think it over and do not study it as we should to find the truth in it, we also don't go beyond the mind.

I have already a few times mentioned that we should not focus on Sai family and that it is not basic enough, not universal and that we cannot transcend the mind, but they don't hear it. We have to go on repeating it that we have to get aware of the omnipresence of the Lord. If there is no experience of the divine, it seems we just meet to sing together and that's it, no spiritual purpose which is really realized and it is certainly not that. We don't go to a Sai center and sing a little and gather to be together, there is a higher spiritual aim and we should get aware of it. In all those experiences and activity in the Sai center we can actually get aware of the omnipresent reality of the divine and get close to that oneness.

It seems those insights is not that easy to understand otherwise, more people would talk about it. We know from our group meditation that we created good energy and that it is about purification of consciousness and if it is about peace it is world peace.

It is very important that oneness during singing, as the experience of oneness is in the study circle or also during service to others, no matter what we do, it is the same if we do it in the right manner. But we have to do it together to get to that right answer. If we are in the egoistic privacy of our home; we cannot make the experience of the divine, because it needs at least two to become one.

It seems kind of difficult to get to that understanding that Swami's words are that important and it is like always, okay, everything clear, but nothing is clear. They don't think it over so next time it is again the same, it is like always, of course, understood, but it is not understood. We don't understand it if we don't see it in our own life and we don't think it over. It even feels like, of course, where is the problem? Who needs that? Who needs to think it over if it is all clear, there is nothing difficult about it, everything understood,  only love, there is nothing to think about, it is that easy. And it is not true, there are always fast answers to not be bothered and to not have to think, it is like thinking is painful. It is not true, it is not understood and sometime later we are again at the same point. They focus on what they understand and that is family or love, even if both is not right understood.

So we just have to tell again and again. To make the experience of pure love we need to understand peace, we have to accept right action and we have to accept truth and only if we have those three things, namely truth, right action and peace, we can make the experience of 'pure love'.

Joy is your birthright; peace is your innermost nature.

Our inner most nature is the non-changing pure being level. It is also a level of perfect orderliness, perfect health and joy, it is beyond the body and we have to make the experience of it and that is only possible if we get out of the egotistic privacy of our home and out of greed and we do it together, there is no way we can make that experience alone, to make the experience we need a mirror, it is on the reflection level.

When Swami mentions the Lord as our staff and support, it is already what we experience together and not alone, if we are alone and in our egoistic privacy of our home only, the Lord is not our staff and support.

We have to make the experience together, we need a mirror to get aware of the same 'I am that'.

The Lord is your staff and support. Do not discard it; do not be led away from the path of faith by stories invented by malice and circulated by spite.

That is just distracting, it is getting us away from the path. It doesn't matter what divine name or form we use, we have to make the experience of the omnipresence universal being of the Lord. So most of people gathering in Satsang seem to not know that, it is just like singing and feeling good and the gatherings go on and if we are lucky we experience his omnipresence and by that we get aware that joy is our birthright and why peace is our innermost nature.

Take up the name of God; it could be any one of His innumerable ones that appeals to you the most, and also chose the form appropriate to that name, and then start repeating it from now on - that is the royal road to ensure Joy and Peace.

If we repeat the name of the Lord, as we did it with the mantra, we can also see it as focus on the breath and get aware that we are in the breath alone and with God. If we focus on the breath, after a while is nothing but breath and the silence,  it is not only on the word level that silence, but it is in the mind.

Soham is the mantra Swami talked about and the name of God. Important is that it transforms into silence, we don't listen to the mind, we listen to our breath and the divine in it and we calm down the mind, if we are silent on the level of words, the mind can go on in the background. If we are in the group and do group singing, we silence the mind in listening to all singers as being one, that is our duty, just being who we are, the divine Atma.

If we are in the study circle, we listen to the others and we think over Baba's words and find the one facet in the diamond which is no matter from what side we look at it the same and it is always true and if we find it, we make the experience of the divine omnipresence.

It doesn't matter what name and form, what matters is that we experience it and we have to understand it and it is not possible to do it alone, but nevertheless it doesn't make us to a family or it is the family of humanity, we have to always focus on the basic principle and there is only one without a second.

That will train you in the feeling of brotherhood and remove enmity towards fellowmen.

That is training in brotherhood; we have to know that we are all same and there is only one reality that is real and that is 'that', oneness undivided and without any differences. It removes enmity if we only see that. 'I am that' means we are all the same, the same higher self, we just have to get aware of it.

If we listen during singing getting aware of the oneness we feel also his presence and we know there is only one, listening to all in one, it is an exercise of omnipresence and that is what we want, if we have an experience of omnipresence, we get aware of that non-changing being level as our own self and that level is never born and never dies. It is only the body that is born and dies.

In that being energy  we find everything present it is in the, past, the present and the future, it is omnipresent, it is all pervading and non-changing energy, only we gave to go beyond illusion and the mind to get there. If we get there and we feel his presence, with him we go beyond the mind and that means beyond time and space.

We can saw the seeds, but they can be eaten away by ants or washed off by rains or picked by birds or even destroyed by pest, so lots of seeds will not make it, only some will grow strong, no matter what obstacles are there and they will become sturdy seedlings.

Similarly, you must do everything to uphold the privilege of this birth and strive to return to the Lord.

First discrimination, second seeing it in our own life, third going on no matter what obstacles are there. We have to get to the inner core of our heart to find that joy, it is a place of no change, of pure being, of the divine reality and if we remember the divine name with our breath it is present in the silence of breath, we have to watch and get aware of it. We are alone with the breath and in  touch with that inner core which is never changing it is part of our own self. We focus on the breath and stay inside alone, it is in the room of inner silence, because it is the divine in us. If we sing together and use one voice we find that oneness between all and we are getting aware of the divine in being one, we have to use the voice that is our duty in the group to be in oneness. The group is a means to get aware of it and to realize it.

If we are in a study circle, we sit together and talk about the divine word, we share, we let everybody talk, we don't interrupt and we do not put it in question, we just listen and afterwards we tell what we think and share our experience and we always focus on what Swami tells, his words and see it in our own life and by that we are able to experience his omnipresence.

Socializing doesn't make any sense if it is not focused on Swami's words and his presence. If someone thinks that is part of the center activity, it is not a spiritual purpose to just be together to think about family and to dream about oneness, when it is all too much in the mind to even transcend the mind. It is not an experience of the divine on that level. Socializing has never been accepted. In the ashram it was always said we should focus on Swami and not get into socializing. It is the same, we have to focus at his words, he is in the divine words and we still should not socialize, but somehow it seems they don't know the difference. If we organize some meetings just to be together and we forget the truth, the aim behind it the oneness, the universal reality that there is only one, we forget that we are supposed to be one and not just to socialize. It looks like it keeps people socially happy as Sai family, during the devotional singing we get in touch with the source and due to the presence of the Indian devotees.

That is why it felt like Waldorf School, they make a social gathering out of it and claim that we are a Sai family and forget that it is above all about truth and that 'sat-chit-ananda' has nothing to do with family, but with truth only. If there is only a feeling of Waldorf School what is missing is the feeling of the presence of the divine we know from Swami, the focus is not right, they don't know how important it is to go beyond the mind, but that is the only thing that really matters, that we go beyond the mind. We all have some kind of family, we don't need one more, we have to reach the eternal level not enforce the mind level. We have to live the Atmic principle, the oneness and the divine principle of 'I am that'.

If we use our voice it is for the glory of the divine and doing his work or we sing for him being one in the divine, in such a moment it is our duty to use our voice, otherwise, we are also responsible if it gets lost.

There is not enough discrimination, not enough listening and thinking over Swami's words. If they talks about Satsang and watching a Swami video with discussion afterwards, it is not bringing the right experience, because it is about discussion and not the spiritual experience.  It feels like always the same, they plan a meeting on family level by sharing a video and talking about it, and that is not it. It is not basic enough, it doesn't talk about the oneness and going beyond the mind, it doesn't talk about the non-changing level and truth.

We should focus on Swami to make the divine experience and get ware of the omnipresence and that he was never the body. If they focus on family gatherings, the truth is gone and it gets lost and they are in the mind only. In some of those meetings I didn't feel the divine presence anymore and I just left, it was too painful getting aware of it. If we focus on parts, we are on the level of dust, if we are part time devotees, it is only part of the whole and not the whole, to be on the level of the whole, we have one only and no differences. It has to be an universal oneness, otherwise, we are in the mind and not in the Atma and we cannot experience his divine presence, if we are not on the divine universal level of that Atma where everybody is one and there is only one and not two.

In that sense only one family and the whole humanity has to be included, there are not two or we have no omnipresence of the lord, we are not in the right energy level to get to the right answer and the right experience. If it is not universal, non-conceptual and unlimited and we don't go beyond the mind, we cannot realize the divine, to develop divine consciousness we have to be on an universal level first.

That is why I don't go to those social gatherings anymore, because the focus is family and not truth, not the Atma and as many times I told already, it didn't change and he said in the dream, 'it is passion, stay alone'.

It feels like no understanding and they think they have to do their best and that is on the level of family, what they can understand and it is all in the mind only and not the experience of the divine.

We have to remember that we have to go beyond the parts to get first on the universal level to be able to  make the experience of the omnipresent divine, if we are in the parts with our mind we are not universal enough and it is not for all the same.

If we don't do anything about it we are also responsible when the highest wisdom gets lost and it is not anymore present and we cannot make the experience of the omnipresent reality, we have to go beyond it otherwise, we are part of it.

Follow the master, fight to the end, finish the game, we cannot do nothing and think the others fault, it is not my business, if we don't fight, we are all responsible if it gets lost.

Take up the name of God; it could be any one of His innumerable ones that appeals to you the most, and also chose the form appropriate to that name, and then start repeating it from now on - that is the royal road to ensure Joy and Peace.
