Beastly Mind and Atmic Beauty

All of you have a whole set of animals within: the dog, the fox, the ass, and the wolf. You must choose to suppress the tendencies of all these beasts and encourage the human qualities of love and friendship to shine. Above all, begin the cultivation of virtues; that is more important and beneficial than mere book-learning. This will give real Ananda (bliss); that is the essence of all knowledge, the culmination of all learning. Treat everyone as your own and even if you cannot do them any good, desist from causing them any injury. Light the lamp of love inside the niche of your heart and the nocturnal birds of greed and envy will fly away, unable to bear the light. An unbending person is infected with egoism of the worst type; Love (Prema) makes you humble, it makes you bend and bow when you see greatness and glory. Use that capacity and derive the best advantage out of it.

Baba talks about a set of animals and we feel like in a zoo. To understand Baba's words better, we can see that Baba Lila in the light of the dog, the fox, the ass and the wolf.

If we see those animals in Baba's Lila, I went to him and we had interview and for some reason I had to translate for a devotee from Geneva, I had to translate from English into French and Baba talked about me with her and it felt rather strange. He asked her, 'who that girl was, to whom she belonged and what our relationship was?' 

There were no answers only questions, but I began to talk about it, because I had to get an answer. It was Baba's Lila not mine and if I questioned it I had to get an answer because Baba had asked the questions, not I asked the questions. 

And he answered, that I belonged to him and I said how he could know that it was about truth and right action and he said that he knew because he had asked Baba for a wife and he knew that I was the wife Baba gave him and I told him there was no way I could possibly know and I told him about the dream with Baba.

It was an interview and it was in the dream, he opened up the interview room door and I went into that room, the light was all golden and he was dressed in white and he asked me, 'why I was that old and not married' and I just had a relationship behind me with the national leader of the TM-movement and now I was 36 and alone again and time began to load. And he said, don't worry, I will take care of it and what about Al. 

After that interivew I didn't worry, my former boy friend send me a post-card and announced that he would get engaged on his birthday that was a month after Baba's birthday. 

That interview in the dream was during Baba's birthday in 86. Nothing happened during the next years and it was not possible to talk with Al. 

After that interview in March 89 when I had to translate into French, we went about 14 days later to Kodai with Baba and there we lived all in private houses and there was also a guy from New York and I mentioned the interview. And he ansered Baba's question, he said, 'I belonged to him', taking advantage of it that I didn't know. 

And I told him that Baba had mentioned Al and that I couldn't talk to him and he talked to him, 'he was American, he could do it', I was a woman and not American and it felt very difficult. He gave me by that the impression that he would help to get a right answer. 
But Baba was in his dream and said to him, 'I warn you, in that room you will not  get the right answer'. If it would have been in my dream, I would have known, but it was his dream and I noticed it was again not possible to know. But that made the wrong impression, he could talk with him and I couldn't and it corresponds to the insight what Baba said, 'you are American, you can do it'.

But seen in the light of this thought for the day I met the fox, who said after he knew that I had been a TM teacher that he was initiated in TM and that he knew in that moment that he would do it for all his life. 
It is the fox, because he didn't tell the truth that he actually never did it. He let me believe that he did it. He enjoyed to look like someone he was not and to look like a spiritual person, when everything didn't make sense, why should he do that?

And he seized that opportunity talking about his former big boss who paid the course and who's room he was living and that seems more like the wolf, because it made himself look different and like someone important and that he mattered and most of all that his big boss was very wealthy and he called him his friend and he began to talk about dreams, he was like day dreaming, today we know, at that time we didn't know, he said that he was waiting for him to start with business again to get back his job. That was the reason he was in the ashram with Sai Baba waiting in his former bosse's room that he would get the job back.

I think it was the wolf because there were teeth behind it and it was dangerous, he took advantage of the VIP position of his former boss and all others, the whole ashram thought that he was like his boss a successful business person, he fooled everybody. 

It was not only about making a wrong impression, but about looking like his boss, the wolf said that he was like his boss and as good as him and that he will be as wealthy and he was in reality dreaming with open eyes, that we know today.

It made him not only look good, but better than anyone else in the ashram and behind is nothing but a huge ego.

And the dog I guess he was because he talked about the dog holder always, his big friend, it felt like he was running behind him like a dog and he was barking about nothing else but that.

The wolf is more dangerous, because he pretended from the whole ashram to be someone he was not and it put him in the light of the VIP he was not.  

And the ass we met in the bad thoughts, when he began to tell, and it was not anymore about getting answers, but he said 'what have you done', when it was all his stuff and his idea that I was that wife he wanted from Baba.

He began to talk bad about Baba's Lila and not like it was Baba, but he began to find faults. There was no respect for Baba's high ideals and he abused it in telling us that it is 'my doing and my fault' and we are the doers, so he had not to face what he had done in blaming others for it. 
It was destroying everything whatever had been beautiful and divine.

And we still meet the ass, calling it still 'our doing', like telling that it is 'our Lila' and not his and no respect for Baba's Lila, we are the doers and not Baba is the doer, that is an insult to the high ideals of Baba.

An unbending person is infected with egoism of the worst type; Love (Prema) makes you humble, it makes you bend and bow when you see greatness and glory. Use that capacity and derive the best advantage out of it.

There is no chance for transformation in an unbending person, that looks like an ass.

After the school didn't work with the Montessori teacher and he went into a fight with her, he put the blame on me, even though he was the one who was in that fight and I was not even present, he came back with the words, 'what have you done' and I thought he is gone nuts.

I would never have gone in a fight with her, not for any reason in this world and for sure not because of money.

That is how I got aware of the ass and that he blamed me now for whatever he had done and since the search of faults never has stopped and  he is still going on that ass level.

Being an ass, not able to see what he is doing and not able to see that it is Baba behind who set limitations and we have to accept the path of right action and if we accept the path of right action, we also have to accept the path of truth.

It is not about finding faults, but about right action and truth.

It always puts the high ideals of Baba in question. He always destroys it and as Baba said is tainting it with bad thoughts and harming instead of seeing good, there are always bad thoughts.

He doesn't choose to suppress the tendencies of all those beasts and he doesn't see any meaning in encouraging the human qualities of love and friendship to shine.

He doesn't listen to Baba, but he goes on in bad thoughts to this day. It is impossible to talk to him, what is coming back in on the level of bad character and bad thoughts. 

Not listening to Baba means no cultivation of virtues, he doesn't care about it and that is also the reason Baba said, 'you didn't listen, you have to get a divorce'. In that marriage was no listening and whatever, it ended with bad feelings.

It was not possible in that relationship, it turned into a mud hole and there will not be any Ananda (bliss). To be a bother he still calls it 'my Lila', not Baba's Lila. He calls is 'my processing', not Baba's processing.

He is doing the opposite. He doesn't treat everyone as his own, he doesn't know what that is and he doesn't care about doing good, he doesn't desist from causing harm and injury.

After we had to go to Baba and he said, 'you didn't listen, you have to get a divorce', I told him that and he ignored it as long as he could to cause harm and injury.

Treat everyone as your own and even if you cannot do them any good, desist from causing them any injury.

We have to understand the path of peace to get to that experience of love. Someone who is on the level of those beasts and doesn't care to establish virtues in his heart, but enjoys to do the opposite of what all others do, he is not able to have an experience of 'pure love'.

If we want to get that experience, we have to understand peace and if we understand peace, we have to accept the path of right action and we cannot be on the level of a beast when it is about right action, because beast is another word for not right action.

And when we accept the path of right action, we have to accept the path of truth and when it is about truth, we have to face the beast and get aware of the difference between a beast and 'pure love'. The experience of 'pure love' is not possible if we are in the frame of a beast and there is no unity in thoughts words and deeds.

Light the lamp of love inside the niche of your heart and the nocturnal birds of greed and envy will fly away, unable to bear the light. He is on the level of an unbending person, someone who is not flexible, infected with egoism of the worst type.

While love makes us humble and it makes us bend and forgive, we bow when we see greatness and glory, but we also are in danger because the unbending person will again take advantage of it if we are forgiving.

So Baba was in the insight and he said, 'he took only advantage of it'. He was in the 'insight' as a Baba vampire and that corresponds to the wolf probably and he was there with a long nose Baba and that corresponds to the ass, unbending, but fooling everybody about himself playing the big devotee talking about his big friend and in reality it is demonic. 

That is how we can put Baba's words in our own life and see it in our own life and try to understand the different levels of it in our own life. 
And we have to accept the path of right action and get aware what is beastly and therefore, it is not right action and we have to accept the path of truth and why truth if it is beastly it is not reflecting as divinity, when the path of right action is not there, it reflects on the level of demons.

All together we can summarize it as Baba's Lila, we learn from it and we learn by seeing it in our own life.

If we are on the side of devotees, we are impressed by the greatness of it, because Baba's Lila is great and glorious. But if we have an unbending person infected with egoism of the worst type and there is no love, he will always try to destroy the greatness and glory of the Lord and make out of it something ugly and sick, because it is demonic devotion. 

An unbending person is infected with egoism of the worst type; Love (Prema) makes you humble, it makes you bend and bow when you see greatness and glory. Use that capacity and derive the best advantage out of it.

We have to see the Baba Lila and see the greatness and job and in that capacity derive the best advantage out of it.

That is how we listen to Baba's words and see it in our own life and the zoo becomes a face and we begin to feel the difference between being on the level of a beast or developing the qualities Baba is talking about.

I still have the tendency to feel sick being in a relationship with such an unbending person, infected with egoism of the worst type and I took it for a Baba Lila, that is difficult to absorb. 
It makes me feel sick that I went into it trusting that Sai Baba would be there and that it would be okay in his presence and he took a letter.

It was not only not safe and not okay, he warned him in the dream that he will not get the right answer on that level, but not me in my dream. 
He will never get a right answer on the level of an unbending person with that type of worst egotism, because there is no love possible on that level and as he doesn't care about accepting the path of right action, there will be no change, as he is an unbending person he cannot accept the path of right action and as he doesn't accept the path of right action, he also doesn't accept the path of truth, he goes on in his pattern of an unbending person and there is no transformation possible and it feels like Baba said, 'no more husband, nothing left but an empty Western shoe, that is the reflection of the empty Western shoe, nothing in it but emptiness.

He goes there, because he enjoys to be in good company knowing the same time that he does the opposite, I am sure he likes that, because it is more fun.

We can learn from it, but having been exposed to it for so long, there is no joy and it destroys the good feelings and the glory Baba is talking about.

But we begin to experience it again in his words, it does heal from the inside because we always think over Baba's words, the glory is in his words, even thought my ex would to everything to destroy it, that seems to be the only sick and perverted pleasure an ass can get from it.
