Darshan: Sight of Truth

The path to God is difficult, but you can win. Let God do whatever He wants. Surrender to Him and say, “I brought nothing with me! Whatever You have given me, I offer it back to You.”
You may think your parents gave you the body. Who put life into your body? Who makes your heart tick incessantly? You may feed the body with tasty food but who digests all the food you eat? Who is the driving force behind the circulation of blood? God Himself regulates every single act within every living being.
The eye that is not even an inch long can clearly perceive the stars, far away in the sky. Who gave this little eye, this big strength and power? God alone has conferred and is conferring everything upon you. With your little ego, you are confused that you are the doer. This is the greatest ignorance. Whatever He gives, accept it, it is for your highest good.
Baba (thought for the day)

It was my first interview with Baba. He took the group in the interview room and someone said that are the people from your country, you should go.
I was the last one walking fast over the place to the mandir and the last one going through the door. Baba was standing at the door and asked, ‘where do you come from?’ And I answered, because I thought it was about the country, ‘Switzerland’.
In the back of the room was some place to sit down and it was filled with people and he closed the door behind and walked in front to this chair.
It was amazing, because I saw him the first time materializing things that close, he made for someone a ring and something else and out of his hand came sweets and he gave some of it to all people present.
And he asked the country groups in the second smaller room behind and there we sat and it came all by surprise to me when he said, ’what do you want’? He felt that close, it was an incredible feeling and I tried to explain it.

I told him that my ‘friend’ was in now in New Delhi with the Maharishi, who was a yogi and I was here with him and that was my situation. I wanted to know how to go on, how to understand it and why I was here and that felt rather like a long story and I was not sure what had happened and what went wrong, I didn't understand it. And I tried to make it right for all involved.
Some other devotee had to repeat what I had said and Baba asked me, ‘who is your friend, is the Maharishi your friend or is your friend with the Maharishi’?

I talked about my ‘boyfriend’ and I didn't think that I called him 'friend', because of the yogi behind and that in reality he was everything else but no friend. It means I didn't understand it, that was too confusing it was all different than it seemed to be. And Baba said, ‘that is very difficult to understand, just think about God. TM is not the right path’.
He blessed us all and we went again in the other room.
I don’t remember what he said to the others, I was too occupied to wonder why I didn't understand it and knowing that it would be difficult to get the answer to my question.
I had the feeling to not understand anything anymore. I had been working with TM and thought we did the best to enlighten the world and I had not expected that it was upside down. It had been my life and since years already I had been in that relationship with the leader and if he was not a friend, what was he?
The night was great anyhow and in the dream mother was present, but there was much more love than I had ever felt before and it was like an empty glove and he had filled every space in it, only in the left knee had been some empty space and it was all full now. It was an amazing insight.
But I didn’t understand what he said about TM, as I had been a TM teacher, I thought it should be possible to go on teaching meditation and that just something what had to be understood.
I was still happy and wrote about the interview to the boyfriend, the so called friend, who seemed to be someone else, as yogis are our friends, what was he, as it seemed no yogi, but how to ever know that by insights? He was hiding behind the master, he was personal staff and nobody could see it what he really was. He could be about anything, because the master had put him there, if it was not okay, it should have been the master's business to put it right.
I didn’t get back when he wanted me to be back and he took that as pretext to find someone else and he got engaged. That is how he began to show his real face and he felt not like friend anymore. There was no friendship and now came the question why he felt like a friend, if he never had been one and that felt real difficult, because it was of the yogi behind and why it was all upside down and upside down means Tamas, it was Tamas and Tamas is very difficult to understand.
It was only three months later to make sure everybody knew it and to make it impossible for me to get back, he announced that he will get engaged.
Now years later he was in the inner view as an actor, just eager to keep the appearance of his role and we lived on an all different level. It was about yoga, it was about real friendship and not just playing a role.
I got the news with a postcard, it made sure everybody knew about it that I had left, that took also care of it that I couldn't go back, but it was in conflict with the master, who said after I came back from Baba, that I could remain a TM-teacher, that I should not mix it and that I should keep it for myself.
If he didn't keep it for himself, everybody knew it that was the directest way to make it known all over and the opposite what the master had told him to do. What was the use of keeping it to myself, it was of no use, he couldn't made it known more openly.
Now that was the difference between the real friend and the one who only plaid a role. But it was still not understood, it had be seen in the inner view.
That is how we understood that he was no friend, but it was not answered why he had felt like friend.
It was just clear that he was no more friend, but something else.
As yogis are our friends, it made it clear beyond doubt that it was wrong, but it was still not clear what had been wrong and it took a long time to understand that part.
There was no way going back, what had felt like friendship, due to the yogi in the background, turned into the opposite, what had been before in the inner view all enemies. Only years later we got an answer, glad about it.
First during a course air broke into pieces, as it was air only it didn’t make sense, because air cannot break into pieces, but that was the meaning of cut off and being in the air.
With Baba we learn that Tapas is spiritual work and we should see it in three steps, the first one is 'discrimination' and the second step is 'to see it in our own life' and the third step is 'to go on no matter what obstacles are there'.

It was in the air and therefore not possible to see it in our own life.
It was not clear why it was air, but it had to do with TM. So we had to see it in our own life first and by that it was possible to conclude that with TM it was not seen in our own life and therefore, it was in the air only.
It means it was in the air and cut off, because the TM policy was - just meditate and problems will be solved and technique, no source, no relationship, that cut off the source.
The relationship level got lost. Another reason why it seemed impossible to get a right answer was that we were not able to understand it. How can air break into pieces, therefore, it didn't make sense. We had to realize it, but it was far away and it seemed impossible to get closer to it.
Wit Baba dreams and insights and his inner guidance, we got closer. It was inside guidance, in the beginning it didn't make sense at all. Only very slowly it began to get clearer, clues to get to the right answer.
What first appeared as air breaking into pieces and what said cut off and we didn’t know at all how to relate that to our own life and how to see it as Tapas, it was not possible. If cut off it was not possible to see it in our own life and that means, it cannot be understood. If we don’t know the source, we cannot understand it. Still we didn't know how to apply it, how to see it in my life.
That seems to be ‘invincibility’, based on the other side of it, cut off; it was ‘invincible’, because nobody knows the source of the problems anymore. And not knowing the reason for problems, not knowing the source, how can we understand it?
If we don’t know the source, we cannot see that there is a problem.
The secret of invincibility was not about meditation, but that they don’t know the source and therefore, it is not possible to understand it.
It practically means we can confront them with problems, they will always get to the same conclusion, just meditate and all problems will be solved.
It is a wrong conclusion, but they believe firmly in it not aware that the mechanical repetition of the mantra without focus and knowing the source, divinity or the universal ‘I’, it leads to a wrong conclusion that it is possible alone with mechanical repetition of a mantra to get to enlightenment. And the task of a master is to get us to a right conclusion and that was not taken care off at all. It was not about individual enlightenment, it was about enlightenment on a social level of consciousness, it said we should meditate in big groups together.
Finally after getting aware that air is about air only and a very right inner view - truth, air said it was 'in the air', cut off the relationship level and that it was the result of TM, also the dream that they were puppets on a string, because of the same reason began to make sense and the hand was not there, which should have been there holding them.
That is how the source got lost, what made puppets, the source, the master was not present and people also get lost in it, not only the source.
Puppets on a string without the one who made puppets, we cannot get aware of it, because the source is missing. If we are puppets and we don’t know how we got there and trusted blindly in it, we have to go on trusting blindly and the source gets lost, we get to a wrong conclusion and get lost as well. If the master got us in purpose to a not right conclusion or in a short cut to enlightenment, let us believe it is a short cut and it didn't work.
Or we conclude that it is a mistake or just a path using Tamas to get to the Western mind and over a wrong conclusion to enlightenment, what doesn't work.
It is easier to see it as ‘invincibility’, if we don't know the source and think it is the solution to all problems, only the remedy is cutting us off the source and it also making sick. After it got clearer why 'in the air', and we got in touch with the first person I had met years ago. With him I went into courses, he was at the source, at the beginning and at the place of the guru, even if he was only a TM-teacher, there it got lost, because he was not on the right level and the master was not there. He was at the beginning and also there the source lost, the real master, the yogi was not there, it was the same.

Yogis are our friends, but in the air was cut off, source lost, people looked like puppets on a string, the hand not there, which should have been holding them, the master not present, all enemies, no answers, but a black hole, that was not a good result and it didn't feel okay at all.
Such a dilemma because we thought it was yoga and the highest.
Yogis are our friends, and in the air, cut off, no friends, but as enemies, no master, but a black hole, there was about everything but no friendship.
But it still was present as a feeling of friends, projected on the wrong person.

The source was in the beginning and in that TM-teacher; it was how we got into it. He was no master, just a TM-teacher and again the source got lost, because the real master was not there.
It was already at the beginning that it got lost, because there was no master, he didn’t take any responsibility and all felt like enemies. Yogis are our friends, but in the end it was about everything, but no friends.
In the dream it was a parade, they were part of the parade and there was a big reddish dragon, but he didn’t look alive, he was just like a symbol.
It felt it had to do with that believe in invincibility, but it was a parade, it felt like a big show on the move, a movement and the dragon had to do with the not real invincibility.

So thinking about God only, what Baba had said in the first interview and with the help of his inside guidance and insights the lost source came back after a long time and therefore, it is possible to understand it now.
He is the source, with him it does make sense, and it is not anymore in the air, with Baba's help the insights began to make sense.
But looking back it is that difficult that it is kind of incredible that finally we got there, seeing the obstacle created by so called yoga and how it got lost and people blindly believing in it and that it will work and that everything is fine and okay, right and yoga. But the time it took to get there, what looked like a way to enlightenment, it took that much time.
It doesn't work, even though it cleaned consciousness and it helped the world consciousness to grow. But there is something we can use, because during the training we had to learn by heart, whatever the master said, it was always the same and that is how we got into repeating the master’s words and nothing else and we noticed how important it is to be able to realize that wisdom.
The realization is about oneness and how to get there.

The study circle is a means to get there, we have to just take his words and it is not like with self-enquiry, not like what I am doing here, we do not put our own experience in it and see it in our own life.
It is just taking his words, getting a text ready and the purpose is to deepen the experience of it in the circle in sharing with others. There is only one and that we have to realize.
If we think we are the doer, we project the little ego in it. In the study circle we can get aware of it. Even if we know that we talk only about his words, some do still think that we are the doer, because we write his words down, that is all wrong.

With your little ego, you are confused that you are the doer. This is the greatest ignorance.

It is only writing it down, only writing, nothing more. Anyone can write his quotes down and we see it as duty to get the text ready, because we have to do it.
Every word has truth in it and that is the focus, truth and not typing it down and getting it ready on a paper, the purpose is that we can share it in the circle.
In writing it down we get aware of the meaning and thinking it over and we find some questions and that makes it easier for others to find that hidden truth in that text, but it is nothing we do in our own head.
It is all done by him, by his words, by the study circle itself, it is all about that deep truth in it and if we find it, it feels like Darshan.
It is not self-enquiry, it is just an experience of his words and finding the truth and that truth is what we experienced as – Darshan and that is the sight of truth.
It is experienced in sharing. To find it together by sharing, that is the experience of Darshan; it means the sight of truth, the oneness of that wisdom. In sharing with others we get to that moment of Darshan, the deeper meaning of truth in his words.
The Darshan is a magic experience of inner truth shared in nearness, in his presence and his experience, it is being near and dear to the source and getting the experience of it and it is bliss.
That is how we can experience a study circle, if we know that it is He only and it gets blissful and Darshan, it is not our own doing, but it is just a matter of diving deep into his words and the truth in that wisdom.
