The Highest and Holiest Spiritual Maxim - Thou-art-That

Utilize your authority over this body to foster the welfare of the world. This body is but an instrument, an implement given by God. Let it serve its intended purpose. Until the Realisation of the purpose for which the implement is given, it is your duty to watch over it vigilantly and protect it from injury and disablement. During winter, woollen clothes are worn to withstand the rigour of the cold gales, but when the cold subsides, they are discarded. So too when the cold gales of material life don't affect us in the least, the material body will no longer become essential. "Thou-art-That" - this is the highest and holiest spiritual maxim! You are the indestructible Atmic principle (Divine Soul). It is to realise and experience this Atmic principle, you have this body! In the process to realise the Supreme Lord here and now, you must take good care of yourself.

We cannot talk about things we have not experienced. There is a certain integrity in it if we have the experience of it, we don‘t talk about it if we don’t have the experience.
There I was every day in Darshan and wondered what we experienced here, it was love, but the question was for me, why there was that much love?
We knew from meditation how to purify our mind and our thoughts and we knew it was precious, but we didn’t know how to get to one result only, love.
It means not only insight, but also the right knowledge and it needs to be confirmed.
I didn’t know that, we didn’t know that.
Some had to know, but who is talking about it?
I listened to speeches and look for it, the same message Swami had been talking constantly about, that love, love only, the Atmic principle, it had to be there, it had to be in our thoughts, it had to be in our words, where did it go?
And we knew that he said, He is the doer and we had to wait.
We had practiced sutras and now all those sutras were in Swami, he was it, he is the doer. That was the answer, that he was the doer, but we didn’t understand how it had switched from being a sutra to being Swami.
We can see it as reflection. We knew it was Patanjali, that is high wisdom, but what is the highest?
How do we know, we know only if we listen to him, he knows.
First we get wisdom, we find sutras and we realize that those sutras are the quality of the divine and they are all in him.
We listen for immortality.
He will not give us what we want, he gives us what we need. I listen to a speaker and he has been a long time with Swami. I begin to listen to get a feeling for it how it has been realized that divine wisdom.
He is omnipresent and omniscient, he can be anytime present, we have to be ready always, because he can be in that very moment present or he can be it also in some years.

Utilize your authority over this body to foster the welfare of the world. This body is but an instrument, an implement given by God. Let it serve its intended purpose.

Suppose everything is clear, we simplified our vision and we have the right experience, we know that body is just to foster the welfare of the world.
We know that our body is only an instrument and we use it for the intended purpose by God and not the mind and if we listen to that wisdom and get aware of it, but it tells us still not how do we get aware of it. We think it is that easy, but we didn’t clarify our vision, we don’t know how to meditate and our problems are not gone.
We cannot talk about if we don’t have the experience of it and how do we get that precious experience?

Until the realisation of the purpose for which the implement is given, it is your duty to watch over it vigilantly and protect it from injury and disablement.

We have to watch and be vigilant to protect the body from injury and disablement and how? If we listen to the immortality we could be hearing it.
It is in the harmony and oneness between thoughts, words and deeds. We talk about meditation only if we practice and we know how to talk about it and how to transcend the thought. When we meditated we had no problem, because it was only about cosmic consciousness and we could adapt it to any consciousness and it could also be adapted to our society, because it reflects whatever is present and not the universal truth of oneness in the sense of all and it is just that which cannot be transcended anymore.
No matter what, it is Veda what he is talking here, the highest principle, the Atmic principle.
Once in our center was a meeting going on and someone wanted to take all picture out of it and just put a candle light in the midst of it that we should be able to go beyond the form and then we put the sign of the human values in the center and the pig picture at the side of it, to remember that we should keep his wisdom and words in focus and not his form.

During winter, woollen clothes are worn to withstand the rigour of the cold gales, but when the cold subsides, they are discarded. So too when the cold gales of material life don't affect us in the least, the material body will no longer become essential.

It is only true for us when we have the experience of it and it is the same with ‘thou-art-that’.
The material life is our life as long as we don’t know how to transcend it and we are in the body and the mind as long as we don’t understand the universal principle of ‘I am that’, it is the same as ‘Thou-art-that’.
If we listen to the people singing together and we know it is about immortality and going beyond the mind, we can feel the experience and he is that principle of ‘Thou-art-That’.

As long as we don’t know how to transcend the body, we are the body. As long as we don’t understand the universal principle of ‘I am that’, we are in the body and we do everything to get to understand the principle or we do nothing but singing hopping to get there and forget ot listen.
There was not one Darshan when I didn't asked myself how he did it that he transformed everything in love only.
We knew how to transcend the mind, we know how to purify the mind and to go in silence, we could even how to do it together with others, but we didn’t know how to transform it in love only. It was present in Sai Baba's divine presence.
I wondered also how I was able to ask always the same question and I had been so many Darshans in his presence and I was sitting there and wondered in every Darshan about the same thing, how does he now and here transform everything into love.
And if we have no experience of it, we are not able to talk about it, because of the oneness between thought, word and deed.

"Thou-art-That" - this is the highest and holiest spiritual maxim! You are the indestructible Atmic principle (Divine Soul). It is to realise and experience this Atmic principle, you have this body! In the process to realise the Supreme Lord here and now, you must take good care of yourself.

We are here  and now in the presence of the highest and holiest spiritual maxim, the ‘I am that’. It was in the air above him in the mountains, it was a Darshan and I had spent some time in mediation and was not aware that Swami was standing after Darshan again and it seems just in front of me and there were also the boys and it was in the air as, ‘I am that’ and it was mixed with meditation.
It felt that good I wanted to go on mediating.
It was in the air in Darshan, that is the sight of truth and it is in him, but it was not the, ‘Thou-art-That’, like a picture watching and getting aware that he is the whole universe. It was the ‘I am that’ and felt like all were thinking only one thought.
How we could be able to tell that he had the universe in his hand and knowing it, making it our own experience? That was my question and constant focus, it had to become experience to be able to understand it and at that time I didn’t know that we also had to become aware of it to be able to talk about it. I am missing people talk about the divine principle as Swami did and I cannot find it.
‘He is that’, it was somehow easier and the ‘I am that’ still is, ‘Thou-art-That’ so how we get aware of it as it is the divine, the highest experience and we got there only during singing and only if we keep the focus on that one voice, knowing that we are all the same ‘I am that’.
I read a book and that devotee mentioned the ‘I am that’, and I liked what he said at last there was someone thinking and talking about it.
We can always get to that experience by singing and that is probably why there is always devotional singing going on and we can join in even if we have never even thought about the Atmic principle and ‘I am that’.
It depends to our experience and if we have experiences with the ‘I am I’ we will talk about the ‘I am I’, and if we experience the cosmic consciousness, we can adapt to about every state in consciousness as it is an universal state and we are only able to talk about the universal state of ‘I am that’, the highest maxim, if we have the insight and the wisdom and the experience of it.
With Swami that is the focus, the universal truth of ‘I am that’ and if we have that truth, we will know why there is only ‘love’, because ‘that’ is only love.
We can mediate and get to the universal state of cosmic awareness, but it doesn’t mean that we made the experience of the truth only, the highest maxim.
We are the indestructible Atma and we can only realize it if have that experience of the Atmic principle, the ‘I am that’ or here he calls it the ‘Thou-art-That’.
In that way we get confirmed what had been in the insights and in the dreams and we know yet that there is no difference in the Atmic principle, it is not different from the insight and the ‘I am that’.
If we don’t listen, we will not be able to clarify our vision and we will not get that confirmation which makes it true. We think we know, but it needs the confirmation of it that we know it and just because of that reason he is the one who is the knower, he can anytime give us that insight and wisdom, he can be present, but if we sleep or we are not focused, we will not be ready and we will not get it.
‘Thou-art-that’, the highest and holiest maxim. We can make the experience of it if we listen to his words.
It is about the divine, He knows – in the personal experience and insight we have to get aware that He is the knower and the ‘I am that’ is just the reflection of it, but words are that poor in telling truth as we always associate words with something we know about it so it is never pure and just 'that', we have to simplify our vision to get to the principle of that highest wisdom.

"Thou-art-That" - this is the highest and holiest spiritual maxim! You are the indestructible Atmic principle (Divine Soul). It is to realise and experience this Atmic principle, you have this body! In the process to realise the Supreme Lord here and now, you must take good care of yourself.

In these words it the essence of Swami’s message and Veda, there is no difference and it is incredible wisdom, in it is the Sat-Chit-Ananda.
We have to simplify it to get to the essence of it and why if we don’t we will never understand it.
As Swami is telling us here, it is the highest and holiest spiritual maxim, the Atmic principle and we have the body to experience that principle.
And did we get the experience of it?
We can only talk about it if we have the experience of it otherwise, we don’t know what we are talking about.
Only if we experience is we have enough feeling for it to talk about and to not get lost in our own doubts.
And where are the people who had experienced of it like Swami and why it is that difficult to find someone talking about that highest and holiest maxim?
There is only one talking about it and that is Swami himself and today we know why, it is not that easy to get the experience of it.
If they have the experience of it why they don’t talk about it?

The devotional singing is an instrument to get aware of that ‘Thou-art-That’.
If we are all singing together in a group of devotees and we know we are all the same ‘I am that’, all the same higher self, we realize that there is finally only once voice and that is the divine and that is the level of ‘Thou-art-That’ and it is only love. It is the realty of the divine and it cannot be transcended.
We met it in Swami, we experienced it when he was walking in the midst of us in Darshan, it touched us and it was in the air in the silence of his holy presence, the air of Prasanthi Nilayam is saturated with that divine wisdom and his divine prescience.

"Thou-art-That" - this is the highest and holiest spiritual maxim! You are the indestructible Atmic principle (Divine Soul). It is to realise and experience this Atmic principle, you have this body! In the process to realise the Supreme Lord here and now, you must take good care of yourself.

‘Thou-art-That’ is beyond the form, it is beyond the mind.
Swami said in an interview, ‘you and I are we’ and ‘we and He is I’, we have to listen and think it over to understand otherwise, we hear only words.
He said it to the people sitting in the interview room, but it is always true he also could tell it to us today only. It tells us that we go beyond the body and the mind together as we and he is included, it goes beyond the body, he also had a body.
‘It means you and I are we’, first we have to be together to transcend it and to get closer to the principle of love and ‘we and He is I’, that is the level of ‘Thou-art-That’,  we and He, the divine principle, Atma and it is beyond the body, that is ‘I’ and here the I and that I is a different I, it has become universal now and it is the ‘I am I’ the universal reality of the divine and it is in everybody and everywhere and we can still understand with our intellect, we can picture in everything the same I, but it is different if we have the insight and the experience of it.
He is the man who is in our dreams to awake us and once he said in the dream, ‘I am the One’, now that was clear when waking up there was only One I, it was the conclusion in that dream that there is only One and if we sing together and that is what devotees do all over the world, we can get aware that there is only one and that is ‘love’ divine love and it is beyond the mind and beyond the body, it is beyond the form, it is a divine Atmic principle, it is the ‘Thou-art-That’.
There is nothing else to know but that.
