Sweet and Cool

A bubble is born out of water, made up of water, and it ultimately mixes with water and disappears. Man is like a bubble and Narayana (God) is like the water source. Man is born out of Narayana, is made up of Him and ultimately merges with Him. This is the simple and elemental truth. The jiva (individual) has three aspects: one is the spiritual, the other is the material, and the third is something connected with daily life. These three aspects resemble the deep sleep state, the waking state and the dreaming state. Just as the waves are created out of water and are contained in water, so also the worldly life is contained in the spiritual life. Sweetness and coolness are qualities of water. These qualities are also noticed in the waves and in the foam. Similarly Sat, Chit and Ananda (Being, Awareness and Bliss) are three attributes which may be noticed in an individual. Through the individual, they show up in the worldly life and thus demonstrate the spiritual aspect present in every individual.

Baba is telling us here that we are born out of water, made up of water and ultimately mix again with water and disappear, not earth, but water.
Yesterday someone sent me a text she had found in the internet, exercises about important Baba quotes and it seemed that difficult, in reading about it it was clear after a few sentences that nobody would be able to do that.
It was not thought over and it was not okay. It felt like just waste of time and it is depressing. We can never do that and more over it said that it was for cleaning the heart and every Bhajan and every meditation is cleaning the heart and singing devotional songs is a great way of cleaning the heart.
I read only few quotes and had enough of it.
Why so many do that, it means not using his words, but they use their own words to explain him and that is impossible. How can we explain him, he has to explain himself and we are just the listener.

So how do we become such a listener?
But that is a difference when he tells us to listen; we have to be listeners and not something else. In this thought for the day he talks about the eternal concept about divinity and that man is just a water bubble and Narayana (God) is the water source. We have to get aware of the source and we don't get aware of it in being man and he is God, but in being God as well. There is only one way to get aware of it, in being God as well. The mind cannot get to that higher level of the divine. Therefore, we have to go beyond the mind to be part of it to become aware of the non-changing and eternal and that nature of being what ultimately merges with him.

This is the simple and elemental truth. The jiva (individual) has three aspects: one is the spiritual, the other is the material, and the third is something connected with daily life.

We find again the three aspects. Like he said not long ago with cooking or better it was about three methods of winning knowledge, listen, think it over and absorb.
If we compare it with food we first prepare it and we have to cook it and after we eat it and only if we digest it we get the nurrishment. Thus only if all three are there, we actually get nourished and it is the same with wisdom.
Wisdom is like divine food, we listen or prepare the food and listen to the man in our dream who is there to awaken us as much as we listen to his words, the preparted food is colored by our own individual experience and his wisdom behind and in contemplating it again and again, thinking it over seeing it in our own life, it grows and we are able to digest it. That is all part of the process. The strength resulting from it is Atma vidya or as Baba said some aspect of knowledge about Atman.
We should use his words and see it in our own life and think it over.
So the jiva, the individual has three aspects, one is spiritual, the part connected to Narayana and the other is material and the body and the third is as Baba tells us here – something connected with daily life.

These three aspects resemble the deep sleep state, the waking state and the dreaming state. Just as the waves are created out of water and are contained in water, so also the worldly life is contained in the spiritual life.

We know the three states of consciousness. If the individual wakes up in the body it is the waking state and there is the dream state with just impressions of the mind, either insights  corresponding to experiences or purification of the mind and finally there is the deep sleep state and that is the spiritual and unconscious level if we are not aware of it.

We have to get aware of the quality of Atman, it is like water and sweet and cool. Even if we are as individual a wave, there is that quality which matters, the quality of the water. Sat-Chit-Ananda is the quality of consciousness, it is being, awareness and bliss and non-conceptual being, everything relative and manifested or created is consceptual.
It is just being without limitations and if we are aware of it gets into expanding consciousness and more we get aware of it, more it will be bliss, non-changing happiness.
We find those attributes in every individual, but when the mind is strong, we don't get aware of the sweetness in the water and even less the coolness, but life turns only around mind games as the focus is only on the body/mind complex and that means everything is exposition only and show and not real, we pretend to be it, but in reality we don't know that we are part of consciousness and that this consciousness is sweet and cool.
We have to use Baba's words listening to him and our own experience and as he said in the dream that he is the insight and the following step, we have to make that connection between insight and his words and by that it gets clear.
It is like baking bread. We mix the flouer and the water, we can think that the flower is our own experience and we add water and that are his words and we bake it and afterwards we eat it and then the body has to digest it, so the Atma vidya or knowledge of Atman is just the strength we get from that nurishment.
It is easier to understand that way because we see it as part of the same process. We have to put it in the oven and bake a bread and we do it again and again. That is also similar to our food. We get the insights and answers and the awakening in digesting the food.
It is the same process with knowledge or the method of gaining knowledge, it has to be done again and again to understand it, but the result is the strength we get from the nurishment after it is digested and that is as he said equal to Atma vidya and he even tells us that it has to be in that order, we don't eat it before it is cooked or digest before we eat.
If we get aware of the non-conceptual being, we also get aware that it is in our own awareness or the same and the quality of it is cool and sweet and bliss.
