People have taught the eye, ear, and tongue the luxury of constant novelty. Now do the opposite. Turn your mind towards the good and examine every minute's activities. Each deed is a chisel stroke shaping the rock of human personality. A wrong stroke may disfigure the rock. Therefore even the tiniest of acts must be done with great care and devotion. For a drowning person, even a reed is some support. So too to a person struggling in the sea of inborn desires (samskara), a few kind words might be of great help. No good deed is a waste; every bad deed has its consequence. So strive to avoid the slightest trace of evil activity. Keep your eyes pure. Fill your ears with stories of Divine; don't allow them to listen to calumny. Use your tongue for uttering good, kind, and true words. Let it always remind you of God. Such constant effort will grant you victory.
Actually I had a dream and in that dream we were swallowed by the earth, it didn't feel very good though. We have nothing to do anymore, no job and nobody cares really. It seems we belong to a movement, but there is really nobody. There are lots of people, but when we really are in need of someone there is nobody, but they ask us always to do something. They always want something and that had been in the dream with Baba when he left the body, he was on the stage with the country flags and all the people were at his feet and all wanted something from him and it was separated by height and there was great agony.
That is the reality of it; they always want something and more and expect us to not only do our best, but more than the best and it seems never enough and that has something to do with that outward devotion to the body as it seems and not inside in the self. We are all the same self, the same light, the same love; the only difference is if it is permanent or changing. If it is permanent and non-changing it is real and true and divine love, if it is not permanent and changing it is all different kinds of love and the best is 'pure love', but it is not established permanent and therefore, not yet divine love. It was all in the insight, it means the man who comes in our dream to awake us, but it was awful agony. And that is the reality of the movement, they always want something, but they don't give. If we need something there is nobody, but when they want something they are there with critics and blame and demands and that are the people talking about love and if we take it literally we just walk away.
We have to find the divine love in singing together, but in the action of the people we will not find it, we find only selfishness. If we wouldn't have the Indian devotees we would be nowhere really. They are the people understanding and living it and they take care of it silently in the background that it goes on and that we get food, that the meetings are half way acceptable without that we get into war and they are there every moment to serve and to share their love and care, because it seems that only they know what this is all about and how we have to understand it to live it.

The tiniest act has to be done with great care and devotion. Where is that care?

Just a few words, but not even that much really. What does Baba tell, a few kind words might be of great help and not arguing and discussions and finding faults and they all think in the name of truth what is totally misunderstood that they have to tell the other what they think really.
No good deed is a waste; every bad deed has its consequence.
What is the consequence if we waste to do no good deed and it is mostly selfish, it turns into the opposite and it results in a bad deed and that has its consequences of course, that just makes sense if we miss the good deeds we are actually not doing good, but we avoid to do good and that is not good, that is bad.

The problem is they don't know the difference between good and bad and they understand being good on the mind level what results in constant conflicts in argumentation and in finding faults with others instead of avoiding the slightest trace of evil activity, they do the opposite, about everything we do is not good enough because they want to show what good devotees they are and for that they have to tell other that they are not good enough.
Such constant effort will grant you victory.
If we should always think of God and use his words after all, we should not blame the others that they don't do enough while we try to be better than we really are, it is all misunderstood and nobody really understands the value of duty in the movement, but the Indian devotees, they know it because it is part of their culture and tradition.
And the thought for the day just is telling us how we have to understand it right. If Dharma is based on the light self we will still today rather get threatened with death than to not live it really and that happened to me actually already, because the inner motivation is based on the duty to our own light self and that is self-motivated and not the mind.
In ancient times, people never gave up the practice of Dharma even when threatened with death at the point of the sword. Now without even the slightest pressure from others, people slide down and fall into unrighteousness (Adharma). Practicing Dharma is not an ordinary affair. The one who does not practice dharma is as bad as dead; one who practices it is of the divine nature. Presently there is an urgent need to turn people onto the dharmic path through the traditional methods of counselling with good advice, sharing with them the attractive consequences of following the path, threatening to dissociate from those who do not, and inflicting punishment as a last resort. You should derive the greatest possible benefit from dharma and while following it, avoid causing any injury to yourselves or others. You must spread the glory of dharma by making yourself a shining example of the peace and joy it gives.
If he tells us that someone not practicing dharma is as bad as dead, we can about imagine where it leads if that is only leading to more critics and telling the other what we think is right in the name of truth. Of course, we have to practice the divine nature and that will be enforced really by all means, when in reality that attitude makes it already impossible to be divine, because divine is only sathva. But what is the most frustrating is that we can tell it again and again and they don't get it, we know exactly that in some time from now as it is not understood it will be again the same thing. Baba tells us that habits get stoned in time and it is that stone that is not going away even if we tell and talk about it and think it is understood, if there is no Sadhana (spiritual work), there is no change and no transformation and he said that people are creatures of character, that means they are whatever has become their nature by habits.

We have to understand peace and we have to accept truth and we have to accept right action that the experience of 'pure love' can be there and only if we have those three things, peace, truth and right action and as we talk always about the dharmic path and that is right action and love and peace, that is really the essence to understand the connection of the human values.
If they are not there, there is also no non-violence, but the discussions and arguing are about it based on war and not peace and they don't know the difference. Actually if we reflect on it, it is really not funny, because there is hardly any love, but lots of difficulties between the people who try to be active as they just don't know how.
Peace is only possible if we do our work or job as duty and we do our best and nobody should actually criticize and find faults with it, but all the other they also should do their best in their job or duty if we keep that attitude only we are able to understand peace and if it is not done, it will turn into an opposite experience of war actually.
I had a not very joyful experience like that not long ago with a someone in the center who thinks the has in the name of Sai to tell others what to do and I had nightmares afterwards and everything broke in pieces again. And we remember that Swami said, if peace and right action are separated, only pieces are left. It happened before, now we know why.
We should understand that if we have no idea about it and we don't practice, we don't meditate and just think we know love and have not the slightest idea about it, how shall we understand it, that is quite impossible. That 'pure love' is the result of sacrifice and duty and self-enquiry and not affection and that is not the same really. It is the reason why I didn't write a lot for the past weeks, I had enough of it and I didn't want to even think it over and write about it.
