Kundalini Yoga and Breath Control

While doing Kundalini Yoga, people practice breath control. In the breathing exercises, inhalation is described as Purakam, exhalation as Rechakam and holding the breath as Kumbhakam. These alone do not constitute the means to achieve yogic power. To breathe in all that is good is Purakam. To give up all that is bad is Rechakam. To retain in the heart what is good is Kumbhakam. Every human being must practice this divine type of yoga; in fact this must become your primary goal. Puttaparthi is a small hamlet. How has this village attained this eminent state? You can find the answer for yourself. It was not merely a great piece of good fortune or a lucky accident. It is due to the power of thought. Every sacred thought has the power to find fulfilment. Hence scriptures declared: "As you think, that you become (Yad bhavam tad bhavati)". Develop good thoughts and naturally you will be entitled to the right of its fruits.

The love we felt with was that big, it was an incredible love and it felt like it felt the whole universe and in our evening in the center with our study circle and followed by Bhajan singing, coming back there was just 'that' in the air, that much love and the memory of that energy in his presence, it came by surprise, but it is about advaita, we have that theme now for the second time in our circle and that energy flow has definitely to do with the positive energy level we keep and I was reading, but I didn't really get into it and I was watching TV and didn't focus, I didn't see any of it and I was writing about it and that still the best, at least we could express it in that way.
It was actually quite difficulties to take it, it felt like too much and also it came by such surprise that I remembered again the amount of love which had been in the air in his Darshan and the amazing insight that this energy  was present again without that we had been seeing him. It means it got activated by the study circle and the Bhajan singing afterwards, it is the result of just good and positive energy.
I was thinking only about that time yesterday in his presence and how we felt and how beautiful it was, but also that we can experience it in our own self if we get to the ground of advaita. All I knew is that I had never experienced that much love before.

In the last days I have read about breathing and now we just have that thought for the day. If we breathe in with thoughts and the mind, there will be less energy, just air, but if we breathe in the 'So-Ham', we breathe in energy, it is the Prana and not only air and that leads to the Kundalini awakening.
In meditation we have the thoughts they come and go and we take the mantra and with the repetition of the mantra we stop that thought activity, we just take in the energy and not only air and prana, life breath is independent of breathing, it is possible to breath prana and the breath stops. If we do it the right way we stop our mind to fulfill the breath. If the mind is interfering with breathing, it is always unfulfilled. The Soham is the mantra and we think it in that meditation with the breath.
It is the way the flying Sutra of Patanjali is practiced, breathing in light and breathing out darkness, we keep it in the inner light, brighter as the sun and as cooler as the moon.
We breathe out through all the senses and we keep the energy and light in the inner light, it is what Swami is telling us here.
We are not enough aware of it.
Every human being must practice this divine type of yoga; in fact this must become your primary goal.
Who is practicing that type of yoga here in the West with the breath?
This morning in my meditation after all the strong energy made sense and the experience of that last evening had become a different type of energy, the sutras and everything feels totally different. But the thought was also there, how is it possible to experience that love again, it was just the study circle and a positive sharing with people and singing, years ago that energy had been focused on Swami's presence and his body presence and now that was not possible, but nevertheless, it was there and we have never experienced that much love before and it expanded to the whole universe and there was not one Darshan I didn't wonder about it.
But today it was easier in meditation as the energy was silent and quiet and focused and there were not many thoughts, it was just higher energy and following the breath going in and out it was about focus, but on that level the sutras become natural, they are part of it. And when we think the mantra Soham and we think So and we breathe in light and when we breathe out, we breathe out darkness or what he calls here the bad, we breathe in the good, we breathe out the bad and we store the light on the level of the inner light and that is the prana, the life energy and it is the place of the inner light, just a bit below the heart chakra.
What Swami tells us here is about a strong divine energy. And it is not just about the practice of Pranayama, but Kundalini Yoga. The energy of love is that strong, if we don't do any sadhana, we have to know how to deal with it. If we breathe in and meditate with the sound or mantra, we also can think the sutras and it feel very easy. We breathe in light and breathe out the bad and we store it in the inner light. It is also described as the flying sutra by Patanjali, with the stored light in the inner light space the body gets weightless and the heaviness of the body gets out through all the senses.
Swami talked always about the importance of Soham, meditation with the breath, but getting aware of it feels still like a revelation. I had my own meditation I began years ahead and I didn't stop with it, but I didn't think the sutras, but they were nevertheless present and that explains it, when we are on the advaita ground, the siddhis become our nature. It is about Kundalini meditation and when we get aware of that deep state of love, that much love that we don't know where to go with it, there is a big difference when we meditate and using the sutras, the meditation is on a different level and the sutras are not the same, we don't only think it, we feel it and with that love we get into that state of Samyama, the secrets of the sutras get revealed.
Swami tells us what is done in his Ashram, it is Kundalini yoga, only nobody I know ever mentioned it. If we control the breath and store the light inside the body, the bad has to get out of the body by all the senses, he said so, I remember very well, but I was involved in meditation and I didn't realize that it was more the level of the sutras. Today I know that it is the real flying sutra, while the other sutra seems to have to do with travelling in the light body. The difference between body and akasha feels also different when we feel that state of love in it and the experience is based on advaita, oneness.
It is the ground level of truth and it should be our basic cognition.
Now knowing about the ground level, the feeling has changed, the understanding has to be there between the ocean and the ocean ground. After the last Sai center evening with study circle and singing there was something else and it felt like resounding, like water and it is still there and yesterday I didn't know where to go with it. It was like too strong and it took all my attention. But this morning in meditation it was a great focus, the reality of the ashram in the air. The depth of advaita, truth of non-duality is present when we get aware of it. If we recognize it together and get to the correct conclusion in the study circle, we are it. If we study Brahman, we become it.
We have to feel the advaita and we get aware of the love is that overwhelming space that it feels like first it is too much love, but it is there if we get to the correct and insights and we talked only about love in our study circle. But this morning in meditation it was not anymore nearly too much, but just right and it leads to being one, if we have advaita with the sutras, it is samyama and it seems to get very easy, the sutras and the energy get manifested. The experience of advaita, the experience the 'I am that', it is only positive energy and we are on the ground level of truth and it should be our basic cognition, it is non-duality. We get aware of it why he calls it Kundalini meditation with breath control and why the energy feels easily too much if we don't control it with the breath, if we would not meditate and we have no sutras in which that energy can express, here on that level it is just right. In that energy the siddhis are our nature.
The energy is that strong, we have to transform it and it is expressed in the siddhis.
If we didn't do any self-control, no breath-control and no Pranayama that helps us to get our breath controlled and if we never heard about the flying sutra with prana and we inhale the light and we exhale darkness and we keep the light in the body as inner light. It is the real flying sutra and we also don't know Kundalini mediation, what do we do with that strong energy and that explains why some Westerners just being there, but not meditating, no breath- and mind -control have actually lost their minds. Those who write all that mind crap in the Internet, like vomiting their negativity, that is not even really the state of hatred of God, what is the demon, it is worse, they have lost the mind and if that strong Kundalini energy is not transformed and goes after years of staying in that divine energy level back on the mind and there is not about self-control and not about mind-control, because people never really listened to his words and they have no discrimination, what happens to the mind if they try with the mind and reason and logic to find explanations of what happened and what they think others tell is true and they get nuts. They have lost the mind, it is just madness, nothing about it is normal anymore, they don't even know what they are talking about anymore. They have lost all discrimination or they never had any.
They don't know anymore the difference between the body and energy and that Kundalini energy, they talk only about God and love, but Kundalini energy is everything and not only what we imagine God is, but it is the experience of that divine energy and nobody who is not meditating and has no experience of higher level of consciousness is really able to know what to do with that energy which was always present in Swami's Darshan.
But the most amazing thing is that it is again present when we get to the conclusion of advaita in the study circle, because we talk about love only and it gets transformed into experience and it is a strong, as it has been with Swami, so where does it come from?
It is in the energy, it is in the wisdom, it is in the advaita and it is in all the people sharing on a love level, it is that powerful, because it is shared and we keep it positive, we don't go into negativity and that means it expands, it is purely positive and that talk about love and only that and nothing else, there is only advaita.

As we think we become and when we feel that level of advaita, everything seems possible and everything can manifest, it is the home of the siddhis, it is our nature.
We have to stay on the ground of advaita, we have to be rooted in the advaita and every word we tell should be advaita to be one with that divine energy.
